Who: Sirius & Morgana
What: A reluctant date.
Where: Morgana's building, then a bar.
When: Immediately after this.
Status/Rating: Incomplete/TBA.

Sirius grinned widely to himself, flicking the PDA shut and bounding up the staircase to wait outside Morgana's door. It had been said before, but he really did have an almost disgusting amount of self-confidence, and once Sirius had his sights set on something it tended to be quite hard to derail him. At least, until the next distraction came along. Anyway, he didn't know what Prongs had spent all those years moaning about - it wasn't that hard to convince a girl to go out on a date. Even one who claimed she couldn't stand you.

Taking the final few steps two at a time, Sirius stuck the PDA in his pocket beside his wand and loped to lean against the wall directly opposite her doorway, crossing his arms over his chest as he waited. His mind wandered to the bike parked outside, complete with an old man grumbling and waving his stick around, moaning about the 'youth of today'. Sirius had been listening to him for what felt like at least half an hour, but his text-based seduction of the elusive Morgana had taken most of his attention, effectively drowning out the ramblings of the elderly loon. Never mind. He was almost certainly going to be there when he got back to the bike.

At that moment, the door opposite him opened. Sirius, who had been examining his boots with a vague interest, let his head snap up, shaking dark hair from his face as a lazy grin slowly blossomed over his features.

"Evening."

Morgana had just come in from a relaxing afternoon of taking photos around Colligo. It was one of the new hobbies she had managed to pick up before finding herself settled in this city. She had almost missed the text while she had been preoccupied while putting her things away. A part of her had been tempted to ignore it but she always seemed to be amused by Sirius Black, despite herself. She had answered the text and had agreed to a drink with him. What she was certain he didn't know, one drink truly did mean one drink. It was up to him whether that drink lasted throughout the night or if she finished it and left immediately after.

She had taken a quick shower and changed into something flirty yet casual. Morgana had settled for meeting him outside. Because in all honesty, she wasn't looking to be impressed. The man amused her, this was true. And she had mostly agreed because she could and because it was a free drink; however, she wasn't looking to be swept off her feet. First of all, it was rather difficult to do such a thing. She hadn't been kidding when she had said that wittier and more charming men had tried but failed. Secondly, she didn't even really like him. Nevertheless, she would be lying if she didn't say that she wasn't surprised by finding him outside her door. There might have been the possibility that she had put more due on his self-importance and sense of security, and underestimated his desire to genuinely well ... seduce her.

"Evening." She answered, with a small quirk of her mouth. "The old man decided to leave your bike in peace?"

Sirius levered his long body off the wall, shrugging. "We can only hope. He seemed the type to resort to unnecessary violence."

The right corner of his mouth curled upwards into a smirk as he quickly scanned her. Just as he remembered, she really was almost unnervingly beautiful. All pale skin, waves of raven hair and an intense stare set into sculpted features. If Sirius wasn't blessed with an almost alarming amount of self-belief, he may have felt a little intimidated by her. As it was, he just felt slightly smug. And as determined as ever to make her like him.

"Shall we?" He flung an arm out in an extravagant gesture, before falling into step beside her on the way down the hall. Sirius shoved his hands in his pockets, treating the dark haired woman to his most mischievous grin, one arched brow quirking upwards. "Do you have a list of things you're going to nag me about? Or are you going to wing it?"

"You left your beloved at the mercy of an armed individual just to meet me at my door? I'm almost flattered."

Morgana rolled her eyes when he looked her over. She could give him credit for being subtle about it. Although she would bet an entire five dollars that she knew exactly what was going through his mind right at that moment. It didn't take a genius or a psychic to guess. Locking her door behind her, Morgana headed down the hallway, not bothering to wait for him. Knowing that he would follow. She turned to look at him from the corner of her eye for a moment before answering him, pushing a strand of dark hair over her shoulder. "I was thinking of starting with the typical and if the evening is interesting enough, then I'll move onto something new."

Sirius nodded thoughtfully, pausing to let her lead the way down the stairs. "I better make it interesting then. Because 'the typical' sounds almost annoyingly tedious." He grinned to himself before following her down towards the lobby of the building, quickly darting around her to open the door that led out onto the street. A moment later the animagus had followed, hearing the click of the latch behind him as he found himself suddenly stood outside. There was a cool breeze this evening, lifting the hair from the back of his neck and biting at his cheeks.

The rambling loon, to everyone's surprise, (well... his.) had vanished. Sirius could just make out the back of his head shuffling away. That was a shame. Sirius had been so looking forward to hearing just exactly how disrespectful he was. With a smile, he nodded proudly towards the large motorbike parked firmly in the centre of the pavement, gleaming black and silver in the evening light. "Ridden a bike before?"

"Are you doubting my ability to have even the most tedious descriptions sounding wonderfully .. distracting?" Morgana asked, smile mischievous. She managed not to arch a brow when he quickly moved around her to open the door. Although she didn't bother in smothering her amused smile. When they made it outside, Morgana had a moment of wondering about the so-called old man. However, she managed to catch him making his way down the side walk. Biting her lower lip momentarily, to keep her smile from widening, Morgana's attention went first to the bike then to her owner.

"No." She answered shaking her head just slightly. "I missed the lesson for bike riding in 'bad girl 101'." Or well, used to be a 'bad girl but now took the time to work for charities, speak for causes, and take photographs during her spare time'. "Maybe you can show me some time." Morgana doubted that he'd ever let her take charge of his bike, even with him right there. She knew the type and how over-protective they were of their babies.

"That'd require a second date," Sirius pointed out, before grinning and leading the way over to his beautiful machine. Merlin, he loved it. Was it weird how much he loved it? He wasn't even sure. It had started off as yet another thing that would annoy his Mother when she heard about it - her first born son riding around on a clearly Muggle machine. It'd keep her ranting for hours. But then he'd started to charm it, and before anyone had known what had happened Sirius and James had been cartwheeling through the sky on the damn thing, racing it against James' broom and generally annoying anyone in charge of law enforcement.

"I know a good bar about a five minute ride away?" He checked with Morgana, before his gaze drifted back to the bike, as if drawn by magnet. "It's completely safe. When my godson was born me and my mate put a mental amount of cushioning charms on it. It's like riding a fucking cloud." The animagus grinned his wicked smile once again, although it softened a little at the mention of Harry.

Fishing in the pocket of his jeans, Sirius found the bike keys and swung long, jean-clad leg over the saddle, scooting forward to provide room for Morgana to sit without having to be too pressed against him. He may have been the school heartthrob, but even Sirius was aware of the term 'pushing his luck.' Glancing over his shoulder, the animagus rolled his eyes in Morgana's direction. "Come on. I won't bite."

"Hmm." Morgana solely made a non-committal sound that didn't even come close in giving away her thoughts or opinions on the matter. And the expression on her face was a neutral bordering on pleasant.

Would it require another date? Maybe. If she decided to continue to let him lead in this ... Would their be another date? She found that she couldn't even think the word doubtful with absolute certainty. The answer to the question suddenly becoming 'wait and see'. Because Sirius Black despite of, and often times because of, his worse antics held her interest. And while Morgana wasn't exactly fickle, it was quite hard to do. She could count on one hand the number of men that had managed to do that since her arrival in Colligo some time ago. And the amount of that didn't even reach the fourth finger.

It certainly said something that she was much more amused than insulted by the way his gaze kept returning to his bike, rather than staying on her. Lucky for him her level of self-importance wasn't so high that she was suddenly jealous over the attention given to a bike by a man she wasn't sure that she even liked. Morgana was used to men who spent a lot of time fawning over their favorite objects, or even favorite animal. A few of those men meant something to her. So rather than being annoyed, Sirius was met with an amused raise of her brow.

"I was coming. I was just waiting until you finished fucking it with your eyes." She retorted. Though to be honest, she had been watching him as he spoke, listening to him, liking the way his features softened when he went on about his bike, even more so about his godson.

She straddled the bike in the space provided for her, when she settled in as comfortable as she could be, she answered, "Of course you won't. Even the most rambunctious kitten knows better than to nip at somebeing that has bigger claws than they do." She turned her face toward his, a saucy expression accompanying her teasing words. "Let's go then. To that bar, Sirius."

Sirius pulled a face, eyes wide, mouth slightly open at her accusation, although the wicked glint hidden in his expression ruined it somewhat. Sirius had always liked a girl who could swear, one who could match him at his own insistent game. He couldn't help the smirk that tugged at a corner of his mouth as he lazed against the bike, waiting for her. There was every chance she'd turn and stride straight back to her flat, but he doubted it. For one thing, she wouldn't want him to think she couldn't cope with him, because then he'd win. At least this round. And Sirius had always loved winning.

A rush of triumph sang through his body as Morgana finally slipped into the seat behind him, and he twisted his head to meet her gaze. The smirk remained, growing and widening into his familiar wicked grin as he met her meaningful gaze. A gentle chuckle bubbled from his throat. "I dunno. We 'kittens' can be incredibly foolish when something takes our fancy. And I've never been particularly scared of being bitten."

Sirius' combat boot caught the stand, flicking it up before catching first gear. Then he pushed down hard, kick starting the machine beneath them so the engine roared deafeningly. He grinned widely, he couldn't help it, then called back to Morgana. "At this point, I normally suggest people hold on?" A twist of the wrist, a second roar, and they were gone. It really was bloody loud. If he didn't know better he'd say that his neighbours hated it. If he accepted that anyone could hate this particular machine.

He had always loved the feeling of the bike. He hadn't even realized he'd wanted one until he'd first driven this, on a complete whim when he was bored one afternoon. James had been off shagging Lily, Pete and Remus had been off doing whatever they did when they weren't humoring Sirius, and he'd been bored. So he'd ambled into a Muggle garage and had never looked back. His dark hair was pushed from his face, the rushing air made his cheeks flush happily and the metal screamed and shook beneath them. Morgana's body was warm behind him. As they sped through the streets at a speed that put Muggle vehicles to shame, the electric lights blurring into streaks, the wind caused the young mans eyes to water, although his grin didn't falter.

And then they'd arrived. Five minutes had obvious been an exaggeration, or Sirius had misjudged how little he really cared for speed limits... The sudden lack of screaming engine meant the world seemed too quiet as Sirius bounded off the bike and held out a hand to help Morgana clamber off. His wide grin remained, his high cheekbones suddenly carrying patches of colour. "And if you're very nice to me I might fly you home."

There were so many different things that he could say to that; however, Morgana decided to go with the unexpected and stayed silent. Although her twinkling gaze and the way her lips pursed around a suppressed smile spoke wonders in his favor.

Morgana didn't even have to be told, she held on and she couldn't help but shiver slightly as the rush of the motorcycle went through her. It was as if every goose-pimple on her skin rose up and she could feel it vibrating, singing through her blood. She'd never been on one before but she'd always liked the sight of them. Something about them big, black, out on the road, always appealed to her. There had been thoughts of getting one herself, of swerving along, and hugging the curves of open asphalt. However, the sensation that something ... particular was lacking had always kept her from doing so.

Morgana held on close and she was oblivious to most everything beside his warmth in front of her and the speed as he rushed rather dangerously by. And she loved it.

Her heart was thumping, and she was a bit woozy when he stopped. Mostly from being deprived from the high of the sensation so rather deliberately. She blinked slowly, pushing some strands of hair from her face as she regained her breath, looked up, rather a bit startled to see his hand in front of her. Tilting her head at him, she reached out and took it, before looking at him with a wide grin that matched his own. Just the thought of flying on the motorcycle had her pulse speeding up just slightly. What a rush that would be.

Morgana gave his hand a light squeeze. Her answer and tone, however, were light. "I have this feeling that our views on the word and execution of the word nice vary greatly."

Sirius grinned. "Well, we'll have to wait and see what happens." Morgana's hand was slightly smaller than his own, her fingers long and slender. Though, he had not been expecting the light squeeze of his hand as she allowed him to help her off the bike. Sirius' dark eyes flashed up, meeting hers intently for a moment as she mirrored his own grin. Sirius returned the pressure gently, keeping the moment going a second too long before tangling his fingers through hers suddenly and turning to drag her along behind him.

"Stop trying to flirt with me, you pest. I am simply an innocent lad trying to take you for a drink. Now stop dragging my brain into the gutter," he told her, his voice loud enough to carry to the other people walking on the pavement or smoking outside the bar. A few odd looks were sent in their direction, but Sirius was distracted. A scratch suddenly developed on the back of his throat, along with the tightness of his chest that could only be saved by the inhalation of cigarette smoke. But that could wait. He had to get his priorites right, and Morgana was currently at the top of his list. If he had a list. Which he didn't, because that was Moony's area.

Sirius stopped at the glass doorway, wrapping his fingers around the handle and tugging it open to reveal a bar filled mostly with chrome and glass and quite attractive people working behind the bar. Sirius slouched casually against the open door, waiting for Morgana to enter and pushing his hair from his eyes. "After you. Quickly, before one of your friends sees us and tries to rescue you from my evil clutches."

A soft smile flirted with the corners of her mouth when he returned her light squeeze. A soft smile that turned into a quick rolling of her eyes at his next words. "I'm the pest?" She quested, amusement with a dash of disbelief coloring her tone. If anyone should be calling anyone a pest it should be her to him. "I can't honestly remember the last time someone's called me a pest." A harpy, maybe. A bitch definitely. A pest? Perhaps when she'd been ten. It was different that was for certain. "Oh, but Sirius, I thought that wanted me to flirt with you. If I was mistaken, then I promise to me on my best behavior." She returned, with a challenging quirk of her brows.

"Thank you." She stated, going through the door and waiting for him before going any further. She took in the bar, not turning her eyes on him as she spoke, "I doubt my friends are out right about now. Your evil clutches are allowed to have a hold on me for quite a while."

One corner of Sirius' mouth curled instinctively up at the challenging expression passing over Morgana's face. He had known he'd like her, right from that time she'd threatened to break his nose. Then again, Sirius liked a lot of girls, and it usually took some time to tell the ones he actually quite liked from the ones he liked for a night then grew bored of. At the moment Morgana looked like she could possibly fit into the former category. And not just because she always managed to look quite... phwoar.

"You're welcome to flirt as much as you want. Only don't expect me to be able to control myself. I'm a very spontaneous person."

He let her pass him, his gaze flicking downwards to her swaying rear end as she swanned past. Then she was turning to face him, and Sirius leaned once again against the door, attempting to make it look effortless and (he thought) managing quite well. "Sounds perfect," he smiled, then loped after her, taking her elbow to lead her into the bar and finding a corner booth not too far from the booze. Sirius let her sit, then cocked one eyebrow. "What you drinking?"

Morgana gave him an arched look and a teasing smirk. "Oh, you'll control yourself." She stated with a look over her shoulder. "It's much more fun that way."

She turned back around and walked away, knowing that he would catch up with her. He did. Morgana didn't even glance down at the hand at her elbow, simply went into the booth, sliding in first. "Hmm." She mused. Thinking over options. "I'll have a whiskey sour." Then perhaps straight whiskey depending on how long this went on.
