Who: (NotAJ!)Crowley and Aziraphale
What: Dinner and...things
Where: Zira's suite within Crowley's casino
When: Earlier this evening
Warnings: Likely!

Crowley had respected Aziraphale's space long enough. Tonight he requested dinner with the angel, and he would offer Zira a gift. The rarest of the rare first edition books was hardly meant as a bribe, though he had spent more money on the single volume than he'd spent on any one thing in all his years topside.

He'd wrapped the book carefully, bound it with a bow. Carrying both the book and bottle of exquisite scotch, he sauntered his way to Zira's suite, an expanse of several rooms that took up the entire east wing of the top floor of the casino hotel. He considered simply willing himself into Zira's rooms, but instead stood outside the door and knocked, to await Zira's invitation to come inside.

Aziraphale missed Crowley, his Crowley...or rather the one who had been his. He'd been in something of a state since they'd separated, moping and drinking rather a lot. It was just hard to leave behind a relationship that had been such a large part of his life for so long, even if it had apparently meant nothing to Crowley.

The other Crowley had been very kind to him, and he was grateful to the demon for that. He was wary of trusting another demon, after what had happened with the serpent, but Crowley had been nothing but kind and supportive. He hadn't exactly wanted company lately, but he could hardly refuse the demon's request. It would have been impolite, and that wasn't something he often was. Besides, he was lonely and Crowley could be good company.

He was reading when he heard the knock. He took a moment to finish the page he was on and mark his place before the book aside, getting to his feet and walking over to the door. Opening it, he gave Crowley a small smile. "Hello, my d-" he stopped before he said the words, feeling strangely cold. 'My dear' was something that only applied to the other Crowley, and he didn't quite feel comfortable saying the words to anyone else, even by accident. "Hello, Crowley," he corrected himself. "Please, come in."

Crowley was under no illusions that Zira actually wanted to see him. The angel had recently broken up with another Crowley, a despicable demon, as far as this Crowley was concerned, but he would do his best to keep such opinions to himself. Zira was hurting enough, and Crowley only meant to cheer him up, maybe make him feel better about things.

"Thank you, Aziraphale," Crowley stepped inside. He didn't spend much time in the rooms of his hotel, and he took a moment to glance around before remembering he held a gift chosen for Zira. He cleared his throat and shifted his attention. "I thought you might like this." The first edition was extremely rare, he would be surprised if Aziraphale already owned it, and hoped he did not. Crowley wanted the book to be special, to mean something, and perhaps win him the angel's favor.
