WHO: Albus and James Potter
WHAT: Having a few drinks.
WHEN: Right after this. [backdated to July 31st]
WHERE: Harvelle's
RATING: TBD
STATUS: In Progress

His wand securely in his pocket, within easy reach should he need it at some point yet not in plain sight for just anyone to see it, Albus made his way out of the apartment building. He absently brushed back his hair, although it did absolutely no good, and made his way in the direction of Harvelle's. It was only a few blocks away. Convenient, certainly. Also gave him some time to think.

It was his dad's birthday. If he were at home, he'd be with his family. Here, however, he was avoiding going for pie with his brother and instead opting to duck out and go get pissed with his grandfather. Who was only a few years older than he was. It was enough to give him a headache if he thought on it for too long. He also felt a bit guilty at going in the first place. At the same time, however, this was someone he'd never get the chance to speak with again, once he'd left this place. It stood to reason, after all, that he would eventually leave. What sort of Slytherin would he be if he didn't take full advantage of the situation while it was presented to him? Just letting it pass seemed wrong, somehow.

The bar came into sight and Albus picked up his pace a little. There were more people on the streets the further he walked into the city. He sidestepped a few, his gaze locked on the building looming ever closer. Noticing the figure waiting by the door, Albus purposefully kept walking at the same pace while trying to prepare himself. Then he was there, right in front of a man he'd grown up hearing about. One of the men his brother was named after.

Albus didn't even speak. He just gave a tip of his head, blinking from behind his glasses and glancing toward the doors of Harvelle's. "I suppose we ought to head in, yeah?" he finally said, looking back to James for some sort of confirmation. He hoped alcohol would help make things less awkward. It certainly couldn't hurt.
