The thought of spending the whole day with Robin excited her. They had only seen each other morning and night recently with him working and with the weather being relatively nice they were lucky enough that their plans could go ahead. It seemed so normal, something she never thought she would say about their relationship. They were never the normal couple growing up. She wouldn't sit back and let him take control and he didn't want her to be like that. So it that way they had never been normal and she was happy with that. She held the blanket they had for sitting on close to her chest. She wanted to help Robin carry the food but he had insisted that she did not. It annoyed her slightly but he had always been like that.

She looked around as the walked, exchanging small talk before they came to the park. She eyed the lake there and glanced at Robin before tugging his hand away from there. It was busy and she would rather they just shared their picnic with little around them. Soon she spotted a large tree and the area was nearly empty, just a couple of familes and friends, or couples just like her and Robin.

"Here?" she asked politely, even though she had made her mind up that it was there they were going to sit.

He was glad he had suggested this. The whole conversation over their PDA's had been ridiculous, and funny. They had ended up arguing over nothing, which seemed to be a frequent enough occurrence with them. Even marriage had not changed that. And since their marriage, they had barely had a chance to do this. To spend an entire day together, with no interruptions. It would be a rare and very welcome treat. They had no specific plans, no ideas for what they would do. They would simply enjoy each others company, for a change. Back in their own time, something which others here might take for granted had been an impossibility for them.

He had known she would object when he insisted on carrying the majority of what they were taking, so putting up with her annoyance at that was simple. He had come to expect that sort of thing from her long ago. He was well used to dealing with it.

He didn't argue when she pulled him away from the lake, leading him toward a large tree in a less crowded area. "Looks good to me," he answered with a knowing grin that assured her he knew she had no intention of accepting a difference of opinion.

She knew that look too well but she simply nodded in resonse to it. He knew she wouldn't accept anywhere else to sit now she had found here and she pulled away from him to lay the blanket out right by the tree. It offered them some shade and seemed a pretty enough spot. Kneeling on the blanket she held her hand out for the cooler.

"You brought everything?"

She knew he did, she had a glance before they left. But she just wanted to make sure that there was nothing she had forgotten too. She didn't want to have to go back to get anything. Then again they would be able to work around anything they forgot. As long as there were spoons for the ice cream she would be happy.

Moving on to the blanket, he sat the cooler beside where she knelt. He could not help but chuckle at her question. "Yes Marian, I remembered the ice cream and the chocolate," he teased. He knew how much she had come to enjoy those two desserts in particular. They were both still amazed at the amount and variety of food available to them here. The amount in particular still served to surprise him. It had been a long while since he had had so much available to him.

Kneeling beside her on the blanket, he opened the cooler. Looking in, he pulled out a spoon, holding it out to her with a cheeky smile. "Am I to assume you wish to start with the ice cream?"

It took everything she had not to open the cooler to grab the first thing she could find, preferably with a chocolate taste. But then he was teasing her about that specific thing and she pulled herself back to some form of control. But then he had the spoon on and that cheeky smile made her respond with a smile of her own.

"I hope you brought some for yourself..." She grinned as she took the spoon, shifting slightly on the blanket so she was closer to him. At least if he tried to keep the ice cream away from her she had less of a distance to cross to hit him.

He shot her an amused smile, shaking his head fondly and reaching in to the cooler yet again. Finding what he was looking for, he held out the little tub of chocolate ice cream to her. It was the one she had already expressed a great liking for. Chocolate, with chocolate chips.

"There are many things I would do Marian, and willingly. But getting between you and your ice cream is not one of them," he said with a completely straight face. Reaching back in to the cooler, he pulled out the bag of grapes he had brought. Sitting them beside him on the blanket, he lay back, propping himself up on an elbow as he reached in to the bag and took one, popping it in to his mouth.

"You're a smart man after all."

She tried not to grab the ice cream when it was held out to her but she had a feeling it was exactly that she did. He may have looked serious at his teasing remark, but she was well aware that he wasn't. Leaning back, she scooped up some of the ice cream and put it in her mouth. Her eyes closed for a moment as she grinned at the taste, stopping just short of a moan. A hum of satisfaction may have left her lips but it certainly was not a moan.

"And you can not say that about me when you sit their with the bag of grapes that, if I attempted to take, would result in you batting my hand away."

"Do not think for a moment that I will forget that you said that." It would be remembered and brought up, particularly the next time that they argued. He made a mental note of it.

He watched her, a smile that almost became a laugh crossing his face at the sound she made when she got her beloved ice cream. That she liked it so much was an endless source of entertainment. He had the ultimate method of bribery with her now, if he ever decided he needed to utilise it.

At her comment about the grapes, he took the bag and moved it to the other side of him, raising an eyebrow but otherwise making no comment.

"I meant it in shock. I did not know you were smart and it seems you suddenly can be about select things."

The moment he moved the grapes her head dropped back as she laughed. Shaking her head, she looked at him as she popped another ice cream scoop into her mouth, making sure she licked all of the chocolate chip off of the spoon before trying to sneak a hand over to grab the bag.

She didn't know why she was doing this. Perhaps it was just the giddiness of spending a whole day with him making her act slightly childish. But she was suddenly determined to grab the bag and keep it away from him. As long as he didn't attempt to take her ice cream.

"What have I told you about lies," he teased, having told her several times now he could tell. Especially when her lies were teasing too.

"Hey!" He laughed in protest, the arm that was keeping him propped up moving to keep the bag of grapes out of her reach. From his position now laying on his back he reached over for her ice cream. He wouldn't be able to steal it before she stopped him, but he was able to get some on his finger, bringing it up and wiping it on her nose.

"You got some on your face," he said with an innocent grin. "Should I get rid of it for you?"

"That you speak a lot of them."

She laughed when he held the grapes away but wasn't distracted enough to not notice the hand going for her ice cream. She tried to pull it away but soon his finger was in it and she protested as she moved it away from him. But all movement was stopped for a second when she felt the cool ice cream land on her nose.

"I think I am able enough to do it myself," she said though did not move. If he wanted to get rid of it he was more than welcome.

He couldn't help but laugh at that one. He'd walked right in to that. Not that he would admit to that. "That I can tell when you are doing it," he corrected. He couldn't keep the smirk off his face. He loved moments like this with her. When they were not at odds, but teasing and enjoying each others company.

"I do not think that you are," he retorted. Or, more accurately. It would not be anywhere near as fun if she did it herself. He gave her a knowing little grin when she stayed exactly where she was. Leaning up, he kissed her nose much like he had done before, but used the kiss to suck the ice cream off at the same time.

"Delicious. I think you should try it." He said before moving his mouth down, lips meeting hers in a kiss.

"If it pleases you to think so, my love."

She grinned when he told her with his smile that she knew why she wasn't just wiping it away. She wanted him to do what she knew he was going to do. And what he soon did do. She giggled softly a the kiss to her nose and barely had time to respond when he was moving to her lips.

Reaching one hand up, she cupped his cheek before sliding her hand into his hair. They didn't need to have the rushed kisses that they had to before she was brought here. And sometimes that made things so much better. Pulling back when her body needed air, she licked her lips slowly.

"Very delicious."

"It pleases me because it is the truth. I like the truth," he smirked.

As her hand slid in to his hair, he brought his own up to the side of her head, fingers moving back in to her hair, sliding easily through the silken strands. He grinned up at her when she pulled back. Did she know what she was doing with that slow lick of her lips? He tended to think that she did.

"I knew you'd agree."
