WHO: Rose and OPEN
WHAT: Trying to get cooler during work
WHEN: Early afternoon

Sitting at a computer screen had really not seem the best way to spend her day today, especially in the skirt suit she had on. Pulling off the dark jacket, she draped it over her chair before grabbing a few sheets of paper to try and make some sort of make shift fan. However the moment it was time for her to get lunch she was outside, bottle of slightly warm water in hand. It was unbearable but even the warm water would help. She knew how bad it would get if she didn't drink anything at all. The heat just made things slightly worse all around, people weren't too willing to work and she had considered letting everyone stay off until the heat cooled but that would be her last option. Until then she did her best to enusre everyone stayed cool and took enough breaks.

Once she was out of the building the heat hit her. She just had to get away from the stuffiness of her office even if outside wasn't any better. Moving to sit on the steps leading up to the building, she began moving the paper she had grabbed, barely getting any coolness from it. But it was better than nothing. Sipping her water, she made a face as the mixture of warmth and coolness ran down her throat.

Savannah was dying of heat. She could barely study in the library for a quiz that she was going to be taking the next day. She eventually gave up and went to the mall, she would need a cold beverage if she was going to be walking back to her apartment. So she ordered an Icee from the mall's food court. That might cool her off just a bit. When she paid she exited out of the mall. The heat hitting her even more, she put her sunglasses on and just started to walk.

There she saw a woman sitting on stairs of a building. She just had to sit and rest for herself, walking and heat didn't really help when they were mixed together and everything that would help with a heatwave was broken. So she sat down and took a sip of her Icee and tilted her head back. "This heat is too much for me. When is it ever going to end?" She said also waving a hand in front of her face to try and get a breeze going.

Rose's deep brown eyes fell on the blonde as she sat next to her, not asking why she had chosen here to stop. She often found people just sitting with her no matter where she went, even when travelling, and this heat was bad enough it made people want to rest as often as possible. When she began to speak Rose couldn't help the laugh that left her, looking to her new companion.

"Knowing this place we'll have some uncomfortable heat for a rather long time," she said before holding her hand out. "Rose Tyler."

Might as well be friendly, after all. It was only fair if someone began talking to her. She wasn't going to throw her off and walk away. Though she would have to eventually when she had to get back into work.
