Who: Serendipity and Charlie Hanson
What: Giving Bobby back to his momma
When: Right after everyone was brought back
Where: Charlie's room

Serendipity had Bobby bundled up and ready for his short travel back to his mother's room at almost an inhuman speed. It wasn't that she was eager to be rid of the little child. Quite the opposite, she had grown rather fond of the little guy. However, she was eager to get the little one that had been so important to Michael back to the woman that was obviously just as important to him. They needed each other, the child and his mother.

She was careful. Lucifer might have been defeated, but some of his lackies were still around. Serendipity didn't know how much they might know, and the last thing she needed was a precocious follower of Satan deciding to take it upon his or herself to slay the one hope for leading mankind out of the shadow. She moved quickly, carefully watching around her, but she encountered no trouble, thankfully. Maybe she had God to thank for that, now that She was back in Colligo, a presence which warmed Serendipity almost as much as it must have the angels. She would have to track Her down and talk to her again sometime soon, make sure everything was going smoothly again. Thank Her for letting her return to heaven again.

It didn't take long to reach the room Charlie inhabited, thankfully. The Muse had to admit that she was kind of terrified of what Michael would have done to her had something happened to the child... even if he could be really funny when he was mad. Serendipity knocked on the door, giving Bobby a comforting smile. "We're going to see momma," she assured him, listening to the tiny bundle coo in her arms.

Although it hadn't been very long since Serendipity had said she would bring Bobby back, to Charlie it felt as though it had been just this side of forever. The seconds ticked by agonizingly slow as she paced the small foyer in front of her apartment door. Her thoughts drifted between her son, who he had been left in the care of, Michael, and Lucifer. It was an odd combination of things to dwell upon yet she couldn't seem to help it. When he knock sounded at her door, though, everything fled from her mind as she struggled to open it as quickly as she could manage.

Her attention landed first on Serendipity and she offered her a small, but nevertheless sincere, smile. Then she glanced down at her son and instantly felt tears fill her eyes. "Hey honey," she murmured, taking him from his caretaker and holding him close. Stepping aside, she motioned for Serendipity to come in with her free hand although her gaze stayed on Bobby.

"Momma missed you," she added as she pressed a kiss to his forehead. She closed her eyes and breathed in deeply the smell that was purely her son. She would know his scent from anywhere. She would know him from anywhere. Reopening her eyes, cradling him to her chest, she peered over his head at the Muse.

"Thank you," she whispered with a watery smile. Tears shone in her eyes but, for the first time in a very long time, they were ones of happiness. "Just... thank you, so much."

Serendipity followed Charlie into the room and quietly closed the door behind her, watching the woman interacting with her newly returned son. The Muse almost imagined she felt tears prick at her eyes, but a warm smile spread across her face. Charlie kind of reminded her of Bethany in a way, though she seemed like she was a little less rough around the edges than Bethany. But they'd both had to go through hell and back for their kids and they both gave in to that love for them in the end.

"No need to thank me, Charlie. I was happy to do it. Michael was so worried, and Bobby is so important. He's a sweet little guy." She smiled at them again, crossing her arms over her chest. "You love him very much. I'd have been crazy not to take care of him."

She was definitely relieved that God had brought Charlie back. Though Serendipity was very fond of Bobby, she couldn't imagine trying to raise him herself, but she didn't know who else Michael would have trusted. Children need their mothers, after all, and being raised by a Muse with a bunch of angels as uncles probably would have messed the kid up a little.

"I don't know what happened to Eve," Charlie admitted quietly with a furrowed brow. "She said she'd watch him but she's not listed in my phone contacts and her name ain't on her door anymore either." She glanced down at her son, wishing he was old enough to explain where the woman entrusted to care for him had gone. She hoped, of course, the answer was 'back home' but she couldn't be positive. Not with Lucifer having had free run of the place for... however long it'd been.

Resting Bobby against her chest, smiling faintly as his tiny fingers immediately sought out a curl of her hair and began tugging lightly on it, she bounced him absently while peering back over at Serendipity. "I bet Michael was furious," she commented with a shake of her head. She could only hope the Archangel showed himself soon enough so she could at least try to explain that she had placed his charge with someone she thought she could trust. Not that this was the only reason she wanted to see him, of course, but it was the least emotionally-attached one she could come up with.

"So," she spoke again as she moved further into the apartment and motioned for Serendipity to follow her. "How is it that you know Michael? I mean, you're not an angel, are you?" There was still a touch of wariness in her tone at the mention of other angels. She knew, logically, that none of them were going to hurt her or Bobby. However she also couldn't just forget the time that they'd tried to do nothing but that, nor the fact that all it took was one order from God for them to go right back to it again.
