==========================
Damien Thorn had been a bit occupied of late. Ever since he had spoken to his father, he'd been feeling even more curious about how things would go while Lucifer was here. And the antichrist had chosen to just go along with it and enjoy himself. Adam probably wouldn't be amused, probably tell him something about not choosing sides. Damien wouldn't tell him anything he'd been doing lately, though. He wasn't sure his brother would approve or if he wouldn't judge him for it. Hopefully he wouldn't know what he had been up to or that he had spoken to Daddy Dearest. Unless he already knew. The elder brother had a feeling that this might be the case. As to what he had been doing.. well. There had been tragedies. He had known of the creatures, the vampires, demons, and whatever else had been around since last time he checked. No one who remained outside their rooms were safe. Actually, no one was probably safe in those rooms either. It was only a matter of time.
He had been causing his own brand of chaos for the previous couple of nights. But they didn't seem to be connected in any way. None of the people knew each other. And they did not all go out the same way. He also didn't do it himself.. exactly. A few had been sudden suicides. Either jumping off a roof, hanging, running into traffic, or using that gun under the driver seat in the car. He had been to each one and had stared them in the eyes. Followed by blank looks as they then did the deed. There was even one case where a business man went into a diner, took out five patrons, and then turned the weapon on himself. And of course the rest seemed like accidents. Brakes would somehow give out on a truck. One car would swerve and turn the wrong way to hit someone crossing the street. A piece of a storm drain would somehow get dislodged and fall on someone... fatally. The best part was that, naturally, none of that could be traced to him. He had no fingerprints. He had not been directly at the scene when they took place either. And it mostly just seemed like accidents.
Damien hoped that Lucifer knew what he had been doing lately. After all, what son wouldn't want their father to be proud? To get even a nod would be enough. He'd settle for that. Though he wouldn't mind some advice. There was so much more that he could learn. And he liked conversation too. He was curious about what the other evil ones thought about all this. He wondered if they were like him, in the way that this thing going on, that it might be like a party. A chance to just let go and have fun, though at the expense of others. And right now it was time for some more fun. So he stood now in the business area, his back to a building's wall as he stood on the corner sidewalk watching the traffic at an intersection. Counting the cars as they stopped and drove. Their speed, how long it took them to stop at the light, just observing the flow of traffic. He stared at one that was going particularly fast.. glaring intently at the bottom of the car. Suddenly, there was a gunshot type sound, a loud pop as one of the rear tires blew out. The car swerved. The driver was seemingly panicked. And for good reason. There appeared to be no brakes as it sped up, screeching tires on the road, until it spun out of control and hit against a telephone pole... which didn't seem all that stable now. Damien smirked at that, chuckling as though he had heard a joke. The best part was that, as far as he was considered, that was simply a warm-up compared to the damage that he could really do. There was still so many cars driving at this hour. Anything could happen. "You know, people really should learn how to drive better..."
