When the waitress came his way to drop off his drink, Eliot smiled again, taking the glass from her and handing her the empty. "Thanks, sweetheart," he said, earning a returned smile from the waitress. When her hand shifted from under the tray to take the glass, he caught sight of the wedding band. The flirting didn't stop but he knew it was a lost cause. Taking a drink, he turned back to the other man.
"It's a little off," Eliot remarked, giving the stranger a quick study. Maybe the night wasn't a lost cause after all. He couldn't do any hustling, the guy had already seen him playing. But if he was good enough, he might take the chance. He smiled slightly, picking up the pile of darts and pointing at the board.
"How about a friendly wager then? Been a while since I played someone who knew what they were doing." He grinned, flipping the dart in his hand. "Loser buys the next round."
