Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Robin and Marian and OPEN (should anyone wish to drop in)
What: Coming home
When: Friday Afternoon
Where: Their Apartment
Status/Rating: Incomplete/TBA

Training had been simple to say the least, only long. Very long. And boring. Again and again the owner had gone over the same routines and Robin found his mind wondering instead to his previous conversation with his wife. And her surprise. He had a feeling it was not, as he might have suspected before, anything to do with the more 'Biblical' side to their marriage. No, since her encounter with Gisborne, Marian had been a bit stand-offish of that...and Robin could not hold it against her. The water had effected him and now they both realized his lusts had been amplified and he reminded himself she certainly deserved time to recover from such.

No, it was not that...though, it left him only more curious as to what she could have had in mind- and his mind raced for the rest of the day, right up until he stepped into the door of their shared apartment with a faint grin, hanging up his jacket by the door and immediately glancing around for her. "I'm home!" He called out, stepping into the living room and feeling almost relieved to be away from the endless lecture he'd faced earlier that day.

Marian had settled into one of the chairs in the living room after coming home from the library that day. She wanted to see if there were any more current books that had to deal with thier story, because she wanted to see if it had changed even more. Instead, she was pointed in the direction of something called a DVD rack and the attendant had pulled out at least four movies with Robin Hood in the title, one of which was clearly not realistic because there was a drawing of a fox on the front in clothes, but she wanted to watch them all as soon as she could, and she would not deny Robin the entertainment as well.

The movies were stacked on the small table in front of her, and she looked up at him smiling as he walked into the room, moving to the couch so they could sit together. "So are you ready for your surprise?" A cheeky smile spreading across her face.

He was already a little surprised to see his wife ready to smile so readily, but far be it from him to complain or even comment on it. It was a gift to have her so cheerful again, one he would not look in the mouth. "I suppose I am- as long as you promise I'm going to like it." He sat down beside her as his eyes found the DVDs almost immediately- the unfamiliar objects sitting on the table- and the titles.

Oh, this was going to be interesting. "What exactly are those?" They seemed too thin for books.

Marian inched a bit closer to him as he sat down next to her, not sure about the closeness just yet, but still not wanting him to think she didn't love him any longer, because she did. Her smile only widened when he noticed the movies on the table, and she hopped up off the couch grabbing them with her as she walked toward the television.

"The lady at the library told me they were something called DVD's. And she taught me how to use this." She pointed at the DVD player, and pressed the button for the tray to come out as she put the first movie in. The box said it starred someone named Kevin Costner. She walked back over to the couch sitting back down next to him, closer than she was before with the remote in hand, ready to press the play button when the time was right. "I only thought it would be interesting to actually see what others think of our story." Her cheeky smile returning as she started to get comfortable next to him, leaning into him just a bit.

He was confused at first, but he did not argue. It was good to have her close again physically, even if he could still feel some reluctance. Robin would never forgive Guy for this. First taking her away from him in death, and now...in fear. But, this was not the time to dwell. He smiled at his wife, watching as she put the disc in the player and sitting back.

Yes, he'd watched television before, and heard of these DVDs...but when he catch a glimpse of the packaging, he raised an eyebrow. "Please do not tell me that they actually acted out our story? Did they?"

She couldn't help but let out a small laugh as he seemed so astounded that the people of this time had acted out thier story, or what they thought they knew about thier story. Her smile was growing wider the more time she spent with Robin. She wasn't over what had happened with Guy, but she was slowly warming back up to Robin, and that was all that really mattered to her. Robin. She absentmindedly leaned against him even more as she pressed the play button. "Well. I think they only acted out what they think they knew about our story." She wanted to see what these people thought they were like. Not just the story, but what they were personally like. She leaned her head on his shoulder, looking at the screen. "I'm sorry I haven't been the Marian you love latley."

His arm slipped around her shoulders, glad to pull her close as she leaned in and watching as the movie began- at least for a moment, before she uttered those words. He did a double take, staring at her and shaking his head. "Marian...you will always be the woman I love. No matter what. This...please, do not think that I can ever hold this against you. If anything, it makes me love you more." He smiled a little, kissing her hair. "To know you still trust me after all this..and..and what I put you through as well."

No, Robin knew she 'suffered' while he was under the influence over whatever that water held for those many days. And as much as Robin enjoyed some of it, he was ashamed with himself for not realizing the effects earlier.

To hear him say those words, it made her breath easier to know that he was just trying to help her, and that it may have even made him love her more. She turned to look at him, reaching for the pause button on the remote. "You did not force anything to happen, Robin. There will never be a time that I do not trust you. When you came back from the Holy Land, and I called you a fool, I was only wishing I could do the same." She looked away from him for a moment, considering what she was about to do, then looked back up at him with a small smile, before leaning up to lay a light kiss on his lips before pulling away again for just a second, her face lingering next to his. "It doesn't matter what he did. You are my husband. My love. I was only worried you would think I wasn't showing it enough."

He was assured to here her say that, and even grinning a little as she promised him it was all okay. Then, she kissed him. And he felt that old tension melting away again, shaking his head with a slight smile. "I know...I mean, I knew then what you meant." He winked. "Why do you think I did not give up on you, my love? A woman as brilliant and beautiful as you would have been married long before I returned unless something else stood in the way."

Yes, Robin was being a bit cocky, but rightfully so. He stole another kiss and promised. "You show it in the way you look at me...and your smile. That's all I ever need from you."

After he stole another kiss, she smiled a bit, then pulled down and away from his mouth so she rested her head on his shoulder, wanting to stop talking about it. She already felt like a bad wife for letting it happen, and after not paying Robin much mind. She was going to make it right, and soon. She smiled at what he said, knowing he was telling the truth, and it made her wonder about what had happened to him after she died, how he had done with it. She knew it must have killed him, and she knew how she felt when she had thought he was the one who was dead, and how she felt when she arrived here, thinking she would never see him again, or even when he went to fight in the holy land and she was fearful that he would not come back. "I would have married, though none of the suitors seemed to enjoy my ... strength. I also thought of you in every one of them. I hoped you would come back, not only for country, but for me."

He had already told her that he stopped fighting, and she knew that she would have wanted him to keep going. "Robin..." She took a pause wondering if she should ask. "Nothing can ever happen to you, alright? I fear for you when you go to fight Gisborne. You do not want me to feel what you did, do you?"

He smirked at her description of 'strength' and kissed her brow again, enjoying the feel of her body against his own. It was a relief to hear her promise, a smile playing again on his face before he stole yet another kiss- that is, until she asked that fateful question.

Could nothing ever happen to him? He frowned. As cocky and arrogant as he could be from time to time, he knew hew as very mortal. "Of course not, my love...but, you need not fear that here. There are no dangers like there were in Sherwood."
