Castiel was tense. He had come to value the small sanctuary of confection and quite companionship he and Aziraphale had built together. It had not been long since Aziraphale had had a major disruption in his life, he was concerned for him but, to be honest and he was always honest, he was more concerned for himself.

The power of this boy scared him. What if he made him angry, angry enough to... Castiel's trust had been betrayed by those more powerful than him before and this child owed him no loyalty.
He had promised his brother he would listen, and so he would, but he did not hold out much confidence he could be swayed.

There were few people in the park when they arrived, the sun was just disappearing behind the horizon. Castiel had not spoken all the way from the apartment. He did not know how to start. He knew his brother was disappointed in the way he and Adam had struck off. There was little he could do to change that. It was an honest reactions. His knowledge, his feelings, would have to change before he could offer another one.
