Lee didn't understand what was wrong with him. He'd always had urges, but this was just getting to be unbearable. Filling up another bottle full of tap water, he left the apartment, all set to go for a run to sweat out whatever was in him, all the while he was drinking more of the water. Each pounding step made him wonder why he was like this and how exactly he was going to stop this craving from consuming him.

After a while, he stopped by a tree, drinking from his water bottle liberally.

Buffy was out of shape. Slaying shape, anyway. She hadn't had a good sparring partner, and quite frankly, being here seemed like a waste of a slayer. What good was having a Chosen One if she didn't have vampires to slay? So sad that she missed the slaying. What did that say about her? Ugh. Whatever. So not thinking about it, thank you.

Buffy stretched before her run. Running was good. Sped up the heart. Gave her a chance to do something constructive. She even thought about enrolling in school because that's how bored she was. But there weren't very many people that she knew who were going to the school, so maybe that wouldn't be something she did.

With her trusty radio strapped to her arm, and the ear buds firmly place, Buffy began her job and waited for her heart to race. The leisurely speed at which she was running wasn't going to do the trick. She stopped, noticing another runner also stopping, and offered him a smile and a wave. "Hi," she said.

She pulled her hair back and into a pony tail. She half wondered if maybe she should've rethought the pink running shorts and green tank.

Lee had a thing for blondes. It was obvious. Anyone who knew him could tell. That was why it was so interesting that he'd been so drawn to Leah. She wasn't blonde, but she was more than his type. But when the lust potion had taken effect and Lee saw a beautiful blonde, Lee couldn't help but have his heart race in a different way than it had been from the run.

"Hello," he smiled politely, walking up to the young woman. "I don't think I've seen you around much." Lee took to running at odd enough hours that he ran into most of the runners around this place at one time or another. He looked her over, a bit more subtly than one would imagine, given the thoughts going through his head. He couldn't help but manage to hide another smile as he noticed her pink running shorts and green tank top.

Buffy shrugged. "I've been in Hermitville the last couple of months. So over it. Time to come back to the world of the living, y'know?" She wrapped her arm around and pulled with the other to stretch out. "I'm Buffy," she said after a moment, and held out her hand.

Buffy let the other arm fall to her side. Standing without a close by felt strangely naked, but thankfully Buffy was good at improvising on the off chance that she needed to be. She highly doubted it, though.

Lee smirked. "Definitely sounds like a good idea. Shutting yourself off from the world never helps," he answered, taking another swig of his water. When she offered her hand, he took it, bringing it to his lips and placing a chaste kiss on the back of her hand. It was all he could do to make certain that it was chaste. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Buffy. I'm Lee."

	That was awkward. She pulled her hand back and forced a smile. While it was romantic in some circles, it was sexier when there was a tux involved. "Like Bruce?" she replied not-so-smoothly. 	"Lee Bruce?" he asked, confused temporarily as she pulled away her hand. Lee was far from up on the normal cultural references, given that he was from a planet that had its own set of them. 	Buffy blinked because she wasn't sure if he was serious. "No, Bruce Lee." She paused. "You know." She made a motion with her hands to simulate combat. "Bruce Lee." After another moment, she waved her hand and said, "Forget it. No big." She knelt down and tied her shoe, glancing up at him to ask, "So, do you go out for a run a lot?" 	Lee's face was blank, still not knowing who Buffy was talking about. He shook his head slightly, apologetically. When she bent down, he admired her, but was shaken out of his reverie when she looked up at him. "Yeah, once, twice a day. Depending on the weather and how I'm feeling." "I've been slacking," she confessed. "I think it was the shock of being here. And then there's the whole not really knowing anybody and trying to decide what to do and how to get out. Then there's that mourning for the life you're not living. Until finally you get to acceptance or something." Buffy stood up leaned forward to touch her toes to stretch out her back, came back up, and stretched back. "How long have you been here?" she asked in a strained, gruff, voice, followed by a grunt when she straightened out and brought her knee to her chest.

He nodded, crossing his arms as he continued to watch her shapely form stretch. It was practically torture. "I suppose I didn't have a lot that I was missing, ending up here." Sure, he was exploring 'Earth' or whatever they had decided to call it, but everyone he knew and loved had either died or carved out a new life, by themselves. "How long have I been here?" Lee paused, thinking back and counting the months. "Seven months, give or take. How about you?"

	"About the same," she replied with a shrug. "Kinda lose track after a while." She narrowed her eyes. "I have a sneaking suspicion that time is kind of relative in a place like this." Buffy's expression softened. "Xander or Giles would probably have an idea about it. Probably Willow, too. It's all geek speak to me. I'm more of a tell me how to stop, and stop it kinda gal."
