Who: Robin, Marian, and OPEN
What: A surprise visit
When: Afternoon
Where: The Grocers where Marian and Guy work
Status: Incomplete

There was no harm in a little visit, was there? It had been a few days since he'd found out about Marians' new job...and the presence of a certain old acquaintance, and while Robin wasn't arguing with his wife anymore, it didn't mean he was entirely comfortable with the idea of her seeing Guy each day. After all, the former lackey of the Sheriff was the man that killed her in cold blood...Robin didn't like taking chances, especially with the woman he loved.

He'd showed up unannounced at the grocers that day looking about- a story already in the back of his mind should Marian argue. He wanted to take her out for lunch. That was custom here, wasn't it? Right...perfectly harmless. And he'd have a chance to spy Guy and see just how close the former knight was to the girl.

The market wasn't all that busy that day when Robin stepped in to look around, casting a smile to a boy at the check out, he hesitated to ask if the kid knew where Marian could be found. But, the other seemed busy and Robin fancied familiarizing himself with the story first...just in case, after all. He approached the produce department and glanced over a stack of apples near the center aisle, his eyes almost immediately catching a dark haired man across the way and instinctively narrowing on him. The last man he ever wanted to see again, now here as well. Really, he'd thought it fate that he and Marian were brought back together by this miracle...now, maybe it was true- maybe this was just some cruel joke by an unknown and malicious deity.

Marian's job had yet to become a checkout person. Mike, the man that had hired her, knew that she was not familiar with technology, and wanted to make sure she would be comfortable doing that before she was assigned to it as her shift. She had instead been asked to reshelve a lot of the items in the store that had been left in random places, but also to help any customers that might come up with questions.

She had asked Guy to help her carry out a box full of soup cans, but he had other things to do, so she thanked him quickly and opened the box as he walked away so she could start shelving those when she saw a familiar form out of the corner of her eye. She turned with a smile, he looked so lovely in the clothes of this time, but it wasn't long after that her expression changed to one of frustration. What had he come to her work for, other than to keep an eye on another man that had come from the same place they had? She certainly didn't know.

"And what, might I ask, are you doing here?" She asked as she walked over to him, making sure it wasn't close enough to him that he could reach. He should know that she was not particularly happy with him.

That voice. Like fresh air, it rang in the air between them and Robin smiled as he caught her eyes- of course, as expected, she was furious. No matter, she was safe. That was the important thing, was it not?

"I came to visit my beautiful wife, is that a crime?" He kissed her and winked, pulling back to note. "And to buy soup. We're out."

Yes, he was a cheeky one, but...well, he'd always been the sort. Seeing her brightened his day more than she might ever know.

She did not kiss him back, especially after that sorry excuse. She knew exactly why he was there, and it had nothing to do with soup. She had grown fond of soup and checked that morning to see if they did indeed have enough for her to make them a nice meal that night out of it. She had also planned on taking home some of the premade garlic bread from the freezer section and giving that a try. There were certain advantages to living with Superman, not that she knew who he was, but he had helped put out a few fires they had inadvertantly made.

"We are not out of soup, unless you ate six cans of it after I left this morning." She did take his hand though, dragging him back to where she had been stocking the shelves with the soup. Dropping her voice down so none of her coworkers would hear, especially Guy. "I know exactly why you are here, Robin."

Guy had been rummaging around in the store room for the custard that Mike had told him to find when he'd come across an already open box of soup cans. He'd only just given Marian a brand new box to start putting out, but it was probably best she used the open box first. Otherwise they'd have loads of open soup can boxes all over the store room.

Heaving the box up into his arms, he made his way back out of the room, letting the door swing shut behind him. It wasn't a big shop, but nevertheless, Guy didn't notice the newcomer until it was too late; probably because of the soup cans blocking his view. "Bought you an open one," he said from behind the box to Marian, stooping to let it down onto the floor. It was only then he noticed the foreign shoes. His head snapped up and he straightened quickly, his jaw tight.

"Can't I just show up to see my wife where she works? I missed you." He was trying to be smooth, smiling when she called him on the 'soup' ruse and stealing another kiss. "And why am I here, hmm?"

Almost to answer his own question, the were interrupted by a gruff, but familiar voice. Too familiar. Robin looked up and his eyes narrowed again on the last man he wanted to see. Ever.

Gisborne.

Nothing was said at first between the two as they watched one another, though he did want to move instinctively between Marian and the knight, his own jaw tightening.

Marian looked at him with that familiar look. The one that told him that she was not buying any of what he was saying. He was always trying to be charming, yet she was the one person his charms did not work on any longer, then her muscles stiffened as she heard Guy's voice, turning to him with an apologetic look, then back at Robin, knowing the look in his eyes.

It had been very hard for her to get the two of them to stop fighting when they were only talking through the devices, and now they were face to face, and she did not want to lose her job because they could not be nice to each other. "Robin, Guy, Be nice." Her voice steady and low, with a warning in it.

Guy wanted to hit Robin or at least so something productive. Still, he knew it wouldn't make any difference, nor do anything to help the situation so he kept quite. "I'll take that other box back to the store room, Marian," he said, looking away from Robin, trying to stay calm. "And remember what Mike said about socializing during work." It was true, she couldn't argue with that. Guy wasn't allowed to sit and chat to Marian, so Robin shouldn't be allowed to either.

He wanted nothing more than to gut the son of a bitch, but he with-held...especially after Marian's warning. Eyes, however, did not leave his enemy as the man warned her about 'socializing'. A roll of his eyes and Robin let out a sigh before turning back to his wife and forcing a smile.

"I hate to admit that he's probably right...I wouldn't want to get you fired for socializing with your wicked husband..."

Marian wasn't sure what would happen with the two of them being in the same place at the same time, but aparently it wouldn't be a physical fight, but made of petty words. When she heard what Guy had said, she opened her mouth to speak to him, but then Robin spoke as well, and she looked back to him, knowing his smile was forced. Giving him a slightly apologetic look before turning back to Guy.

"Thank you, Guy." She knew she was fibbing over this next part, but she wanted to force them to speak to each other, to learn that they were from different times. "It is almost my lunch, and Robin was going to take me out. Would you like to come, Guy?" She turned back to Robin, in a warning that she wanted this to happen.

Guy narrowed his eyes, glancing at Marian in disbelief. "Erm, no..." he said shortly, however, not wanting her to think he was being dismissive, he motioned over his shoulder. "I said Mike I'd give him a hand at lunch. Sorry." it was a lie, of course, and if she chose to check it out, she would find out that it was. Still, she could probably guess. Lunch with Hood? He'd rather poke his eyes out with a rusty spoon. "You go. I'll tell them you're having your lunch early." He just wanted Hood out of the shop. This was his place; his and Marian's. Hood didn't belong here.

Lunch? With Guy??? Robin stared at Marian as if she'd grown another head, his disgust at the very notion apparent on his face. But, he didn't say anything. Guy refused to go and Robin felt some kind of relief for that as he eyed the other man with disdain. Both made their clear distaste for one another very known in those looks.

"Lunch sounds great..." Robin smiled back at Marian with a nod. "And here I thought I wasn't going to get to spend real quality time with you for a few more hours." He eyed Guy who made his excuse then nodded toward the front. "I'll meet you near the entrance, okay?" Knowing she probably had to check out before she went off, though he did keep a close eye on the man beside her as he went to wait, not trusting Gisborne for an instant.
