A nice surprise? To see him? He kept forgetting she was from a time before she had a reason to hate him, or for him to hate himself. He tried to smile. It didn't quite work, but he was sure she got the idea.
"A little," he nodded in reply to her question. "I am staying two rooms along from Morgan Le Fey, from the legends. Except she is called Morgana in real life. She helped to show me around. She has been a great help." He knew he still sounded a little awed every time he spoke about any of the four legendary people he knew were here. He had not yet met King (or Prince as he was here) Arthur, the great magician Merlin, or the future Queen Guinevere. He was still excited to know that they all lived so close by, however. "She was the one that suggested I get a job."
Guy glanced back towards the office door before nodding. "Yes, I should go and see him." He took another look at Marian before turning and hurrying towards the door.
He wasn't in the office long. It was Guy's job to do all the heavy lifting, stacking the top shelves the shorter assistants had trouble reaching, and generally intimidating away thieves. Guy knew he could do that, and he left the office feeling much more relaxed than when he had gone in. He made his way back across to Marian. "So," he said with a little smirk. "Need anything lifted?"
