Robin didn't know what to think when he read that converstation back to himself on the PDA. How could it really be? Well, he'd witnessed the impossible in the last few days, so who was he to question this? Then again, this impossibility seemed something that was actually favorable to the outlaw rather than just...confusing.

He'd found the room easily enough, surprised to discover a directory in the device- yes, Robin wasn't that dumb. Learning how to operate the 'magical' pad was a task, but he had been up to the challenge. Now, as he stood waiting for someone to answer, he wondered if he had the right door, his eyes going down the hall then ahead again as it began to open, simply staring when he came face to face with the woman he'd thought long dead.

"Marian...." And suddenly, he was hugging her tightly, so close that she probably couldn't breathe, but he didn't want to let her go. "Oh God, it's you..it's really you.." He pulled back to touch her face, to look her over. She was alive. It was a miracle come true.

She knew that he had been on his way over to see her in her room, which had changed into a house because of the change, which still confused her, but she would go with it, if it meant she could see Robin again. Besides, this world was much closer to the world they had come from than the other city. She heard a knock, and smiled becuase she knew who was behind the door, and continued smiling as she opened the door.

Then he was embracing her, and she put her arms around him as well. Laughingly she spoke, "Who died, Robin?" Then as he pulled away, and as he went to touch her face, she somehow knew what had happened in that last year, but she didn't or wouldn't let herself believe it.

Who died?

Oh, God, he didn't want to answer that question. He just wanted to hold her tighter and pretend it never happened now that he had her here. With him. Robin looked like a little boy at Christmas just staring into her eyes before he tore his gaze down again and realized he had to explain.

"...You did." He whispered finally looking back to watch her face. "Guy...you were protecting the king in the Holy Land and he ran you through..."

She had died? She remembered embracing Robin after she had believed he was dead, and he had asked her the same question, getting the same answer, but he spoke of this as if he had seen it. Her face fell, as she laid her hands on his shoulders, "Guy? He cared for me. How could he..." She couldn't form the full sentances she didn't want to think about what was in store for her if she ever did make it home again. Apparently the two of them did not get thier happy ending as Lucas had told her the legend spoke of. She only pulled his forehead to hers, resting it there, and reassuring him that she was there now.

He shook his head as she tried to contemplate what Guy did. It had shocked Robin as well to see such a sight...only later, when the others told him what they'd heard...how Marian had told Guy she would never love him. How she all but laughed in his face to gode him away from the king- only then did Robin start to understand. He still wanted vengence. He wanted Guy's blood.

"I don't know.." Robin answered quietly, eyes closed as she rested her forehead on his, trying to slow his beating heart. "But you can't go back."

She closed her eyes as he spoke. Knowing that, she didn't want to go back either, but she also knew that he had to. What he was doing for the country was much more important than her life. She knew that, especially since hearing about the legend, and how long it had lasted. "Come in, I'm sure we are recieving stares, being here, in the doorway." She stepped away from him, grasping his hands to pull him inside. "I know, Robin, but you must go back." Her voice catching on the last part. She didn't want to be here without him, but she knew what was important. She always had. It was what kept her living amongst her enemies in the castle to make sure Robin had the information he needed.

Stares. Yes. Inside was good. Robin glanced down the hall before solemnly following her indoors, looking around the apartment and noticing no one else was there at the moment. It looked almost exactly like his except for a few personal touches.

Go back? He frowned and shook his head. "No. Not without you..." A quiet, determined voice, it was clear Robin would not be argued with.

She knew that tone well, and she fought it often. It shouldn't have surprised him that she was about to, as well. She tilted her head before she spoke, looking him in the eye. "Robin, it is much more important for you to go back. If you had heard what I have, you would agree." She wasn't so sure he would have agreed, but her voice was firm. Why was it that whenever they were together, they fought?

Agree? How could he agree to something as ridiculous as that? Hadn't they fought long enough? Hadn't they deserved a little peace? Then again...she did not know the full extent of what happened after her untimely demise. About what he'd been through. Robin sighed and glared at her, not meaning to take his frustration out on her, persay, but she was the closest outlet.

"I don't care what you heard. How can it be more important than this right now? England will be fine...obviously..if things were as you said they were. Besides, what can we do about it now? I don't have any idea how to get back let alone change things right now!"

Despite that she knew that he needed to go back, that was the Robin she loved, and a part of her had wanted him to say something of the sort. She didn't want to be there without him. She knew he was right, the first week she had been there she had tried to go home, without any luck.

She stepped away from him, and walked over to the window. Her iminent death still on her mind. If she were to go back, she would die within the year, at Guy's hand. "Just before I was brought here, you had asked me to marry you. Did we ever take those vows?" Her voice was quiet, barely audible. She wanted to know, though. She wanted him to tell her.

His own words sometimes sounded foreign to him...but, it was natural for him to sound...not like himself. Especially these days. He was still reeling from her death, still lost in a haze when he found himself transported here. And now, he had her...only, she wanted him to go back for whatever reason.

He was still trying to understand when she asked the next painful question and he looked up from the floor for a moment, meeting her eyes then forcing a sad smile. "We did..." How could he tell her it was in her last breaths? As she died. A shuddered, quiet breath and he looked down. "We hardly had enough time..."

She looked at him as he spoke, and saw his reaction to the thought of them taking thier vows. It saddened him, and she could see it in his eyes, and on his face. That could only mean that they had taken their vows, just before she died. She walked back to him and took his hands and again put her forehead to his. "Then if you have already taken the vows, you won't mind them one more time." He needed a happier memory to put with thier marriage. "I am here now. And as long as we are both here, at least we can be together." She didn't know when, or even if, they would be sent home, but until then, she would be happy.

That smile. The feel of her hand, her soft voice, Robin couldn't help but smile at it. The reminder of what he'd lost...and what he had found again. She was here. Right here. That would have to be enough for now.

Again? Robin cracked a grin, that little spark returning to his eyes as he teased. "If we already took them in my time, technically I don't have to retake anything." He was a cheeky bastard, stealing a kiss and smirking.

When the kiss ended, she pulled her head away, shaking it and biting her bottom lip. His teasing, how she had missed it the past few weeks. She didn't want to let him out of her sight at all now that he had shown up. "I know that you have, but I, have not. So, unless you would like to stay unmarried, you will take them again." Smiling in the playful way she did so well. He was putty in her hands, at least that was what she thought, and he always would be.

Another chuckle and he rolled his eyes, touching her face and just..remembering. He had missed her. This. Everything, even the chastizing- sometimes he missed that most of all, though he'd never admit it aloud.

"Gladly." He whispered to her and stole just another kiss. "Just tell me when and where and I wlil be there. I think we've waited long enough...well, you have."

Marian smiled at his words, and simply pushed closer to him, laying her head on his shoulder. She had wanted so much for them to be together for so long, since before he went to the Holy Land for the Crusade, and while he was gone she had become the fighter for the poor as the Night watchman, only to find that when he arrived back in Nottingham, he would take on the same role, only not masked, as she had been. She took a deep breath, resting there. "How long have you been here, anyway? And not realized I was as well?"

Having her so close was a relief. Feeling her pressed to him, her breath on his neck, her heartbeat with his, he slipped his arms around her and took a breath, just injoying the simple things about their proximity. When she asked about how long he'd been there, he shook his head to whisper.

"Merely a few days. Barely time to adjust to these constant changes...do things really go so quickly around here?"

Marian pulled away so she could see his face. The changes hadn't been so constant when she had first arrived. She had even found a job, if that was what they were called, working at a pie shop in the city. This place wasn't the same as being at home, being Noble was not enough to live on as it had been there, they had to find work in order to keep a living. "There weren't very many changes when I first arrived and the others did not tell me about constant changes. It seems you only arrived at an inopportune time." She smiled at that last part, teasing him a bit.

"I tend to have a habit of dropping in at the wrong time." Robin smiled at the joke as he stared down at her, sighing and touching her face. "So...maybe you can help me figure this place out a bit. My own roommate is never really around and I've only talked to a few people since I arrived. I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to do- I mean...they gave me something they told me was currency, but that's run out rather quickly. I'm close to hunting or robbing from the rich again."

Well, not really, but he did like to tease.

She couldn't help but let out a small laugh. How did she know he would be asking about money soon. "Here, being born a noble doesn't matter. You must find work, like anyone else. That is one thing I have found out since being here." She had found work, but he had also spent years living in the forest, off the land and robbing from the rich. "I found work, before the change, I haven't seen the shop since." She pursed her lips, wondering if there even was a place for her to work in this time.

His brow came together at the news, considering what they were supposed to do to get by. Not that Robin minded it was just..odd. Find work. Right. He could do that. A slow nod and a smile. "Perhaps we can find something together, then?"

Not that he knew of any skills he had that might help him fetch employment here. Unless...there was something he could do with a bow.

Marian smiled at him. His charms were all she needed, but she'd never admit that to him, in fact, at one point she had told him that his charms had ceased to work on her nearly five years ago.

She smiled the smile that usually showed she had an idea. "Perhaps, though I do think you would be more suited to teach the bow. I am not quite as skilled at that." Though if he decided that was what he wanted to do, she could find something in helping him.

Teach the bow? Robin smirked at the idea. Would people really pay money for such a thing? Then again...she had a point. He considered for a moment then gave a slow nod. "I'm sure that might work out well enough..though I've never asked money for it before. Other things, perhaps." A little grin as he suggested their lessons as children and stolen his first kiss from the poor girl. "Do you think there'd be enough income from such a thing?"

Marian smiled at the man she loved. She could tell what he was remembering with that statement. She knew he would do very well teaching that particular skill. "I think we will be absolutely fine." She didn't really care what they were doing to make a living. She would be happy living in the forest off the land with him, as long as she was with him. "Though, I was thinking, with this time change, there may be a need for the watchman" Her cheeky smile coming to her lips, anticipating an absolutely not to come from his lips.

She predicted correctly. Robin's smile fell almost immediatly, his head shaking as he denied her that suggestion.

"Absolutely not." Two simple words. So predictable. "Why would you put yourself in that sort of danger when there is obviously no need for it???"

Her face then changed itself. She knew he would react that way, but she still resented it. She needed a little danger in her life, and being the watchman gave that to her. "If there's no need for it, then there wouldn't be any danger in it would there. I need the excitment. You, of all people, should know that." Her lips pursed together as she pushed away from him a bit so they were no longer in physical contact.

"You need excitement???" Robin scoffed rolling his eyes. "You mean knowing that you die in a few months time isn't enough excitement for you? For the love of...Marian. Listen to me. You and I have had enough danger to last a lifetime." Robin reasoned, staring into her eyes. "Please...withold from this need to run head first into trouble. For once."

Robin was one to talk considering how he reacted to her death and his multiple brushes with death since.

Marian looked away from him, her brow furrowed in a frustrated look. She didn't like his explanation of why he didn't want her doing it. Yes, she knew that she would die in a few months once she got back to her time, but she couldn't let it rule her life. That wasn't the way she did things. "And what did you do after I died? Did you go after Guy? Or did you keep fighting for England?"

A pause before he answered her, his voice quiet...almost dark. "Both." Robin didn't know how else to explain it. "I didn't know what to do after you...after you were gone. I was lost...I guess you could say I didn't care. I was suicidal, almost...I wanted his blood..."

He was hurt, and she could see it. Her death must have taken him to a place she had never seen him in. She walked over to him and put her hand on his cheek. She looked him in the eyes, trying to reassure him with her smile. "You don't have to be lost anymore. I am here, though that does not sound like fighting for England to me."

That was the Marian he'd fallen in love with. And slowly, Robin smiled back, reaching up to hold the hand at his face, giving her a defeated look as he half-shrugged. "You were my England...I just never realized it until you were gone..." He touched her cheek and then dropped his hands with a sigh.

She took in a deep breath at his words. Those charms of his, and she could tell he was telling her exactly what he meant. She closed her eyes and pressed her forehead to his, wrapping her arms around his neck. She smiled against his face. "Alright. So, we will start you instructing the bow, get you settled here, and get married." The watchman wasn't in that plan, but if she found she was needed, she wouldn't hesitate to take up that role once more.

Robin grinned, liking the fact she was so close, enjoying the proximity and the dream that she seemed to have for the future now.

"Why not...get married, get me settled in, then start instructing the bow?" Yes, clearly he was a single-minded type of man.

She laughed at that correction he made and she pulled away from his face so she could see him. He couldn't ever take what she said at face value, could he? "Who will marry us? And who will give me away?" This was an honest question. Her father was gone, and Robin had suggested the King back in England, but he was not there.

"I don't know..we'll find someone." Robin promised,s haking his head slowly and smiling at her with another kiss. "Anyone, practically. I mean...can it be so hard around here? Considering they seem to have every infamous person from throughout time pulled into one little village?"

Okay, so Robin was just going on what he'd heard, he really had no idea who they could get to marry them or who was around Colligo just yet, he'd only heard a few names and none of them he recognized.

Marian contemplated that for a bit of time, and then figured that they would be able to find someone to marry them quite easily, but the only problem would be there was noone to give her away, and in thier culture, that was an important part of the ceremony. She smiled at him because his grin always made her smile, unless they were arguing. "What are we to do until then?"

The man pretended to consider a few things, even making his 'thinking face' before he smiled and pulled her closer. "I think we can improvise..." A soft kiss and a grin following before he asked. "Maybe you can show me around this place..and how to use that bloody contraption they handed me when I arrived. Because..I still don't quite get it."

Marian tapped him in the chest with her hand in a playful objection to his words. "That improvising, you will have to accomplish yourself." She knew that he was insenuating something else with those words, and then coming in for a kiss, but she pulled away from him before he was able to, smiling even more playfully. Then he had some realistic idea of what they could do to pass the time. "I myself do not know where anything is in this place since it all changed, or much to do with the PDA. That is what they call it, though we can try to figure it out together."

"Well, that's one way to bring a man down." Robin was still grinning even as he replied, knowing he'd be cut off before anything too serious could accure. When she confessed how little she knew about the PDA system, he frowned and looked down between them. He'd brought the device with him, just in case, but at the moment he was still wrapped up in just having her back.

"Maybe..we could just go for a walk, then? Explore a little bit? Like we did as children." He smiled. "Only...with more confusion and less fighting."

Marian did smile at his second suggestion, though, and laughed at the part he spoke of less fighting. He obviously had forgotten that whenever they were together, they were fighting or arguing about something or another. She took his hand leading him toward the door. "That sounds like a wonderful idea. I would love to go for a walk."
