Penny walked out of another restaurant. They weren't hiring.

But she needed to find a job. The money she'd gotten when she arrived here was running out.

Cher, on the other hand, had just gotten off of work and was currently muttering under her breath about how the store was utterly swamped this time of year with people trying to get in on the post-holiday season sales. So what if they needed to get rid of as much Christmas themed things as possible so there was less to send back to the warehouse-- and she wondered how that even worked, being that nothing could get in or out of Colligo, but stopped questioning that long ago 'cause it made her head hurt way too much-- but it didn't mean she had to suffer by standing on her feet all day! Money was good and all, but a girl needed a break to spare her limbs now and then.

And she missed the bus. Which meant she was walking. Thrills.
