Who: Vivian Gandillon and OPEN
What: Arriving
When: Late afternoon
Where: Outside the library
Warnings: Vivian can have a mouth on her sometimes, but PG-13 for now

Vivian couldn't believe that those walking suits of armor had actually managed to toss her, kicking and screaming, out of that building and into a snow drift. She liked to think it was because she was so stunned. There had been no human scent coming from them. It was as if the suits of armor had actually come alive on their own. But that was impossible... right?

However, as soon as she stood, a quick sniff of the air confirmed something she already guessed: she was nowhere near her home. There certainly hadn't been that much snow back home, and she definitely wasn't in the city. She and her pack were supposed to be in the country, running the inn that Gabriel had picked out for them. Away from humans and the dangers they could pose. But now, Vivian found herself in the middle of an incredibly large city. This just wasn't right.

"Gabe?" she called tentatively, though she couldn't smell her mate anywhere. She didn't know why she even bothered, but it was an instinct to search him out. "Gabriel? Willem? ...mom?"

Oh, shit.

Leah had been wandering around since she had arrived in Colligo. It was a new place, and she needed to get the lay of the land. She had avoided the library as best she could, but there were only so many places she could go in this place that didn't lead her there as well. She was walking by the area the library was in, yet again, and caught wind of a scent, just before she heard a voice. The scent wasn't human, wasn't vampire, and seemed a bit like the scent of her pack, but not quite. She was intrigued enough to go investigate.

She rounded the corner to see a woman who seemed like she had just gotten to the city, fresh from being booted from the library. Here goes
"Hey, did you just get here?"

The scent was carried on the breeze an instant before another woman rounded the corner of the building. Vivian perked up immediately. The scent was familiar and different all at once. This woman had some wolf in her, but it wasn't the same as Vivian herself and her pack. Interesting.

Vivian turned to face the other woman, careful to not be threatening but also making sure she was ready in case the worst should happen. Astrid had taught her to never to turn her back on anyone, after all.

"Yeah," she replied with a nod and a look on her face that was still confused. "You sound like this happens a lot around here or something." She had no idea why she said that, but that was how it sounded, actually. Even if it was a ridiculous idea.

Leah noticed that the woman was defensive in her actions, then again, so were hers. She wasn't sure what was about to happen, but she wanted to know more about the fact that she had the same scent. Leah was always pretty blunt when she wanted information, and she decided she would just ask.

"I only got here yesterday, but from what I've heard, almost everyone shows up in that library and gets thrown out by those crazy guards. The PDA gets you connected to the network, and gives you your room number." She then took a few steps foreward, clearly for a better whiff of the scent. "What's up with your scent? You're not human. What are you?" She had never met another female werewolf, so that hadn't even crossed her mind at this point.

Vivian blinked in surprise. The other woman's bluntness was probably the most shocking thing to her right now. The rest of the information was taking a little longer to sink in. She glanced curiously down at the PDA the guards had handed her, considered searching it for a little more information, then decided against it and stuck it in the pocket of her jeans.

She didn't shrink back from the other woman when she stepped forward, but didn't make a move closer to her either. She simply stood her ground. "I could say the same thing about you," Vivian replied, not completely sure if she should reveal her secret or not. However, she wasn't revealing it to a human. That had blown up in her face last time. But this woman wasn't human either.

"I'm loup-garou. I guess most people know it as werewolf." She watched the other woman carefully. As far as she knew, she was the only one of her pack here, so if there was trouble, at least she wasn't putting her entire family at risk this time. Might as well just go all out. "And you? You're not human either."

Leah bit down on one lip as she thought about what the girl had said. She was a werewolf, too, then? That was interesting. She had never seen one before. All of her pack were men except for her, and that was a bit confusing by itself. The other girl knew she wasn't human, too. Well that was wonderful, but then again, Leah probably wouldn't have revealed what she was either if she didn't know the other person wasn't normal themselves.

"I'm a shapeshifter, but I can only turn into a wolf. We thought we were werewolves, until we were told by some aquaintances who had known some actual werewolves, that we weren't" Well that was easy. The alpha commands must not work if the alpha isn't in the same dimension.. or planet. "I'm Leah, by the way."

Interesting. The fact that there were other female wolves wasn't odd to Vivian, however, it had been a long time since she'd known one that was close to the same age as her. All her agemates had been boys when she was growing up. What was interesting was the fact that Leah had used the word 'we' and not 'I.'

"I'm Vivian. Nice to meet you." And it was nice to meet someone who was different like her, but whether or not Leah might be a danger of some kind was still up in the air. Vivian's trust wasn't as easily won as it was a few years ago. She had a pack to think of now. And apparently Leah did too. "So you have a pack as well? Are they here?"

Leah wasn't sure how to answer that. Yes, she had a pack, but she wasn't sure if another wolf should know that she was alone, in a new place, without her pack. Leah didn't trust easy, but she needed someone she could confide in, and the wolves from where she came from were protectors. Though, if she took what she knew from her world about actual werewolves, they weren't. She needed to be a bit more cautious, she knew that, but still, she was all alone here, and she didn't like it. She wondered if this girl had the mind connection that she had with hers. She had said 'we' and the chances were that this girl knew she had a pack, but the quiestion was, should I tell her I'm alone?

"Umm.. I haven't seen any of them yet, but then I've only been here a day." She knew they weren't here, because she couldn't feel them, and she couldn't hear anyone when she went into wolf form, but the other girl didn't need to know that yet.

Vivian nodded in perfect understanding. Her first guess was that the other woman's pack wasn't here, but that was a bad assumption to make. She didn't want to be surprised by them, after all. However, there was something about the way she spoke about them and the look on her face that just made Vivian think that they weren't here. Just like her pack most likely wasn't here. After all, as far as she knew, no one was missing back home. Now there was a thought. Would someone come looking for her now?

"I'll have to do a little searching myself and see if any of mine have turned up, I suppose. God only knows what kind of mischief some of them could have gotten into." She shrugged, but it bothered her more than she cared to admit to be fairly certain that she was the only one of her pack here. However, knowing Willem and Ulf and the others, they could have already gotten their asses stuck here as well one way or another.

Leah nodded the same way the other girl had when she spoke about her pack and she also picked up on the same look and tone of voice when she spoke of them that she didn't think they were there either. It was a wolf thing. The pack was everything, and no matter how much you wanted to conceal the feelings toward them, it always showed through, and other wolves would most likely pick up on it.

"I understand the pack getting into all sorts of shennanigans. Let's put it this way, I'm the only girl in mine, and the boys drive me insane." She spoke with a smile, thinking fondly of them. She was starting to miss them, they were her family, after all.

Vivian snickered and shook her head despite her current situation. "I know exactly what you mean. I'm not the only girl, but I was the only one in my generation. All the other women were my mother's age or older. The boys were always really rowdy and grab-assy." She could look back on it more fondly now, but at the time, she'd wanted to smack them around more than once.

Damn, she missed them already. A wolf without a pack was sadder than she thought. There was a time when she'd been ready to leave them and run on her own for the pack's safety, but within this stretch of minutes knowing that they were nowhere around, she realized how lonely a lone life could be. She'd have to either find them or get back home ASAP.

Leah half smiled at Vivian, at least someone understood what she had to deal with all the time, though it did explain the way she looked half the time. She generally wore boy's jeans and oversized tshirts. She didn't really feel a need to dress like a girl, and when she did, she was wishing she was wearing her normal clothes because they were so much more comfortable. "Tell me about it."

Then she decided she would help vivian find her room like Lee had helped her. "Hey, do you need help finding your room, or are you hungry? because I was starving when I first got here. Wolf metabolism and all."

Vivian blinked as the thought came into her head. She was hungry, it just hadn't even come close to occurring to her yet. "You know... I guess I could go for something to eat." Her metabolism was faster than your average human, after all. And with it being as cold as it was, she needed to make sure her body temperature stayed up

Plus, it would give her a chance maybe to get to know this other wolf a little bit better. If they could be friends or allies, Vivian wanted to know. But if they were going to be enemies, she definitely wanted to know that sooner rather than later. She could worry about finding the room that she apparently had here (though that thought was easily the most bizarre of them all so far, that someone knew ahead of time that she would be here) later. One of the best ways for her kind to get their bearings was to get to know other people.
