WHO: Andrea Rojas and OPEN
WHERE: Side-walks of Colligo
WHAT: Kicking up snow.
WHEN: Sunday afternoon.
Rating: TBD
STATUS: Open; incomplete

Snow, snow. She loved the snow. Personally, she was a much bigger fan of summer. Of being able to go into pools or the beach and just have tons of much needed childish fun. Not that she'd had any of that the past two summers, however, from a history standpoint, summers were a good time for her. However, from a history standpoint (her own) winter was one that was just as good. It was snow and family time and Christmas. Since the last two brought a bigger knot to swallow through than she would have liked. She focused on the snow.

Purposefully kicking it up with her snow boots, she walked along the side-walk, hand in her pockets, attention more to her feet and the snow underneath. She knew better. Colligo was ever busy with people passing through and she'd been raised in Metropolis. You didn't know busy side-walks until you attempted to push through one of those. However, her mind was on so many other things that she forgot to pay attention to where she was going. Her focus was centered to the snow, and her thoughts were scattered to the every where.

Mac wasn't so sold on the wonders of winter, she didn't exactly dislike winter, or snow, she preferred spring and fall - until Halloween happened, that was just weird, and she was now wary of claiming a love for spring as surely something will happen to make it undesirable, like a deranged Easter Bunny. Mostly, her reason for disliking winter was the fact she fell down a lot, as she'd never been nimble on her feet. One year she kept count and she'd slipped a total of thirty-four times. Not her most graceful year.

But she'd had such hopes for Colligo, new place, new face to present to the world.

This was not to be.

Mac's attention was focused down, trying to watch the sidewalk for the slippery sections, but little did she know it was the passer-bys she should have been looking out for. She bumped into something humanly solid and the next thing she knew her ass was planted firmly hard on the cold ground.

"Owww," Mac moaned, and then continued under her breath, "So much for a fresh start." She then looked around to find out who needed an apology.

Andrea would have typically been able to regain her equilibrium much faster than most people. It was one of the perks of being a former gymnast and having the meteor given ability of super-agility. However, with the distraction, and the fact that the ground was wet and slippery and that she was wearing boots, she'd nearly fallen on her behind. Nearly being the key word.

There was bit more flailing than she'd done in a long time, but even though she tilted backward, she bent a bit at her knees and managed to stand firm. Even though she was certain she might have pulled something somewhere but at least she hadn't caused damage to her tailbone. Straightening herself for just an instant, she bent at the waist, holding her hand out to the other woman, "Okay there?" Concern beating out any possible amusement.

Mac was certainly impressed, and more that a slight bit jealous the other woman was able to stay on her feet. But Mac was long past letting her lack of grace get in the way of liking people, even those that seemed to have the agility of a cat. She smiled up at the woman, and gladly took the proffered hand.

"Oh thanks," Mac said. "Got to watch out for those gravitational anomalies, you know."

There was nothing Mac could do about the big wet spot smack dab over her behind, but she tried to brush off the snow and dirt as best she could.

"I'm Mac, don't think we've meet," she said around trying to make sure all body parts and clothing articles were intact, she was already moving on to check her computer bag - which she'd some how, miraculously, managed to cradle in her arms so as to keep it from slamming into the ground when she fell.

Andrea easily enough pulled the other woman to her feet but she made it seem that it took the typical amount of push and pull. While she knew that almost everyone here had either been dead once, had powers, or at least experienced something weird by now, she didn't want to-wasn't comfortable with-broadcasting her abilities. The fact that she was a mutant with super-strength and super-agility and liked to run around in leather costume and a mask. Though she ever did, she would point out that she was smart enough to actually wear a mask. No, she wasn't planning to ever let that one go.

Andrea smiled a bit, despite herself, liking the other woman's attitude almost immediately. "They always like to sneak up on you." Although when she said her name, she frowned just slightly, at the familiar name. Maybe she'd spoken to her around the boards before ... Mac. It was coming to her, but that didn't stop her smile from widening as she held out her hand, "Andrea. I think we might have spoken on the boards though. Either way, it's nice to meet you in person."

"Oh, ya, they always seem to happen most often in winter, something to do with the angle of the axis of the earth, and hey, two moons can't be doing anything good for us, in that regards."

Good, everything was intact, nothing seemed broken. Wet, for sure, maybe a bit sore, certainly her butt would be protesting tomorrow, but she would be alright in the moment.

"Oh, hey, ya. I remember you now, you told me to be kind when braking brains."

Ah science. Instead of the typical brain shut down-okay not literally, but it happened-she smiled. "Probably not. If you think about it, it probably isn't helpful in other ones." She said thinking about the werewolves and also that class she'd taken once about Phases of the Moon and Human Behavior. "But at least it's pretty." Her smile quirked slightly in amusement. Though she, personally, was a fan of two moons. Aestehtically speaking.

"I tell that to everyone, but yeah. Sorry if I came out a bit harsh. I've seen some ... interesting reactions when people find out that they were fictional." There were those who were almost eerily fine with it and those who just didn't want more. Those who accepted with a little proof ... and those who didn't handle it well. But then again most of the last ones were usually accompanied by lots of fanning.
