As soon as John's proclamation had been made, a crossbow bolt seemed to fly out of nowhere. It whizzed past him and landed in the chest of a figure who had been silently creeping closer, the shadows hiding his approach. There was a loud oomph from the force of the weapon hitting his chest and then the vampire stumbled forward just enough to glare at John before erupting into dust at his feet.
"Crossbows are also pretty handy, if you've got any aim."
Cordelia stepped further into the alley, her weapon held at her side as she gave John a quick once-over. "Holy water, crosses, and pretty much anything that will cut off their heads works too," she stated in a matter-of-fact tone before meeting his gaze and quirking an eyebrow. "And you've yet to scream and run in the opposite direction like most people do when introduced to the whole vampire thing. I'm impressed."
