Before the other woman had spoken up, Leah had been having a hard time convincing the store employee that she really did want hiking boots and not some sort of trendy sneaker. They were, as the stranger had mentioned, sturdy. And to be perfectly honest, Leah didn't give a crap about fashion or looking stylish.
"Thank you," Leah said in exasperated fashion, motioning towards the girl (who was only wearing shoe, Leah noted), though she was glaring at the salesperson, who gave her one final exasperated look before picking up the rest of the shoes Leah had rejected to put them away.
"Honestly, some people." Leah said, shrugging as she picked up the hiking boots she'd selected.
