There were moments where Remus felt really happy that he was the only one who got to see this side of Sirius. That he was the only one who was allowed to know how much of an utter sap his lover was. Nobody else knew that Sirius was capable of being this way, but Remus did. He had always known. Losing him had been like having a piece of himself ripped out, but having him back more than repaired that hole. It made him better than he had been. More complete. Because this time they'd finally had the chance to work through their issues. And they were better for it.
"Just a bit," he agreed with a small, fond smile, resting their joined hands against Sirius's chest and leaning up to kiss his partner. Yes, there was no way he was leaving this place. Not when he had Sirius. Let someone try to take him away...they'd never manage it. "I love you," he said softly. "I still have trouble believing that you're here sometimes. That this isn't a truly fantastic dream."
