Makoto hung up her apron and called out that she was leaving before she hurried out of the bakery - grateful that her working conditions were relaxed enough to let her come and go as she pleased. She had yet to figure out what was going on in this place, but the fact that there were more Senshi gathering had to be a good thing.

The question of where Rei was from hadn't brought about any information regarding her time - only that Rei was still working at the shrine, which meant she was from somewhere in the past before Crystal Tokyo came about - before major battles and a frozen Earth - so Makoto was still the oldest Senshi in Colligo (a fact which unnerved her more than she cared to show).

The bakery wasn't too far away from the library and as she approached it, she saw Rei sitting on the kerb and waiting, as she said she would. Makoto waited for a car to pass before jogging across the road, surprised at how young Rei was, even if she was expecting it.

"Rei-chan. I'm glad you're here. Usagi will be happy too."

Rei had been keeping an eye on the streets, watching the cars go bye. She was a bit out of her element here. Several different things had gone through her head, most of them wondering if this was because of a new enemy.

When Makoto approached, Rei stood. She looked a bit older, but maybe it was just her eyes tricking her. "Mako-chan. It's good to see you." All pleasantries aside, Rei began with her questions. "Where are we?"

Rei was never one to beat around an issue, and this was definitely a huge issue at the moment.

"We are... in a place called Colligo. It's a city." She took a deep breath before saying what she didn't like to admit to herself. "And we're all trapped here. We don't know who brought us here, or where exactly this planet is. All we know is this is Colligo and we're meant to live here."

	"Colligo?" She repeated the name, but it still didn't make sense. "So we don't know who brought us here, or where exactly in the galaxy we are. Makoto looked down.
"I know how you feel. Being trapped isn't something I just want to take, either. But you try to walk out of the city: you end up back in the library, you blast the invisible barrier at the edge of the city: nothing happens, you try to fight with the armoured guards: they don't get hurt.

And we're not the only ones trapped either. The network you saw is full of people who have been stolen from different times and different worlds..."

She glanced back up at Rei. "And I'm definitely from your future. Where in time were you taken from, Rei-chan?"

	"We just defeated Galaxia about a month ago." That explains things on Rei's end. "What part from the future are you from, Mako-chan?" At least it just wasn't herself, Makoto, or Usagi. If they'd just defeated Galaxia, Rei was from just a little in Usagi's future.
"I'm from Crystal Tokyo." Makoto wondered about adding anything else to that, but decided against it. No point adding any more complications to this situation than were already present.

"There are... enemies around, I'm sure. It's like someone's watching us, playing with us, and sending enemies is a part of that." Makoto pulled her PDA out of her pocket. "Giving us these, an apartment to stay in and $100 is also a part of that."

	Rei frowned. "It's like they want us to start a new life here..." If Makoto was from Crystal Tokyo, Rei oddly wondered what time Usagi was from. Was she from the past, from the future? That would be asked later. "We'll have to find a way out of here... but until then, we'll take it day by day." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"We'll go up to Usagi's apartment. She should be home from school soon." She took Rei's wrist in order to lead her to the apartment building and sighed. "I suppose you'll be going to school with her soon. You're from the same time, after all."

As she led Rei along, Makoto was overcome with homesickness. She'd barely been in this city a month, but it was like a lifetime. With her free hand, she absently rubbed the symbol for Jupiter on her forehead. She wondered if Usagi had noticed it, and why she'd never asked when it appeared. Someone had to be curious about the future.

At least she had Usagi-chan and Rei-chan to keep her company, even if they were much younger versions of her friends than she was used to.

	Rei fell into step alongside the the taller girl. At least some of her friends were here. It would make the time until she got out of here seem more manageable. Rei had noticed the symbol though. Makoto almost stopped walking at the abruptness of the question. She'd been thinking about it, and it was as if Rei had read her thoughts - but it was Rei, why should she be surprised?

"I... we..." Makoto rubbed her forehead again nervously. "After the Earth was frozen, but before Crystal Tokyo came about, we had to... learn how to use our powers without transforming. Now.. I guess you'd say that Sailor Jupiter is always with me."

	She didn't mean to startle her, really. "Oh." It seems normal for them to have to adapt to that kind of situation. They couldn't be in senshi form all of the time in the future... but that did seem to be like they lost all of the privacy they had. There was no double life anymore. She nods again. "No, Rei-chan. It's okay. It doesn't bother me. I was just trying to tell you in a way that wouldn't tell you too much about your future. I can't sense Pluto around here at all, but I'm sure she wouldn't be happy about this mixing of past and future."

She led Rei into the front door of the apartment building and stopped, thinking about mentioning something that had been bothering her - something there was no way Rei would know.

	"I don't think she'd be too happy either. Universe-ending paradoxes or something." Ami once tried to explain it to her, but much like explaining it to Usagi, it went over her head. Makoto thought for a second about whether what she had to say was helpful or not. She opted for not, and because Rei seemed not to notice it, she just smiled and shook her head.

"No, I just thought this would be an interesting place to take your bearings. Have you ever been outside Tokyo before? Apparently this place was modelled on an American city."

Makoto started walking again

"Usagi's apartment - and mine too - is on the first floor. I wonder where you've been assigned to stay."
