This was familiar. Noah remembered another storm like this. It had been a few months ago, early on in their stay in Colligo. Noah was the kind of guy who noticed things like that. It was what made him an invaluable part of the Company. He saw things and, more importantly, he made connections. He grabbed his jacket and headed toward the library without an explanation, tucking his PDA into his pocket.
She looked different than last time. A few years older. But the terror was the same. And there was something there that just made it painfully obvious that this was Alice Shaw. He could see bits of Angela in her features, even in the pouring rain, and he took a seat next to her, not wanting to startle her. "You shouldn't stay out in the rain, Alice," he said gently, but loud enough to be heard over the rain. "You're liable to get sick."
He held up his hands so she could see that he wasn't a thread. "I'm Noah," he said. "I'm a friend of your sister, Angela...you call her Banana, right? Do you want me to take you to see her?"
