Who: Prudence Melinda, Chris, possibly Peter :)
What: Prue gets to meet/see her brother!!
When: Now!
Where: Peter/Chris' apartment
Rating: TBD
Status: In Progress

Prue was bluffing a bit.  She'd have had to find a crystal in order to scry for her brother.  She had a map and some string, sure, but crystals?  Not so easy to come by.  So she was happy he'd told her his building and room number.  And she really was going to wait a bit to go see her brother, but then she found out that her mom was gone.  Gone.  Well that was it.  She was going to see Chris before he disappeared, too.  And fuck it.  She wasn't going to give him any notice.  If he was really angry about it, she'd apologize after she hugged him.  That, she was not apologizing for.  Finding building D quickly enough, Prue walked in, peering at the doors.  103D.  Perfect!

She was about to knock when she got a sudden wave of regret.  Well. He didn't say how much notice he wanted.  She picked up her PDA and went to her entry.  She quickly told him she was coming, hit enter, and then proceeded to knock on the door.

Peter had just got out of the shower when he heard the knock on the door. He didn't want to leave whoever it was waiting, since Chris was out for a few minutes, so he just pulled on a pair of jeans and dried his hair with a towel as he walked through the apartment to the door. Opening it, he stared for a moment, trying to figure out who the girl was. He didn't know her, but she might have been a friend of Chris's. He felt embarrassed, and wished he'd taken the time to grab a shirt. He'd figured it was Claire, so he hadn't bothered. She was family, and she didn't care. She'd seen him dead and covered with blood, so really, shirtless was minor in comparison.

But...this wasn't Claire. So...wow. Awkward. "Uh...hi," he said. "Can I help you?"

Prue was glad she didn't reflex-hug the person who opened the door because no, that was decidedly not her brother. It was some gorgeous guy without a shirt. She tried not to stare too much, and just looked up at his face. Easier said than done. But no. It wasn't like she'd never seen a half-naked guy before. She did have two older brothers, one of whom she was trying to see now actually. Right.

"Um. Right. Hi. You're not Chris. Sorry to bug you. He's not in and avoiding me, is he?"

"No," Peter said with an easy smile, "I'm not Chris. Good eye. Uh...no, I don't think he's avoiding you. He just ran to the store about fifteen minutes ago. Is there a reason he'd be avoiding you?" He realized he was leaving her standing in the hallway and looked sheepish. "Sorry...come on in. You can wait in the living room, and I'll make some tea...or coffee...or something. We have juice in the fridge...and water...in the sink. No milk...hence the store run."

He looked around awkwardly for a second. "I'm just...going to go put a shirt on," he said. "I'm Peter, by the way."

She smiled back, and walked in when invited. "Thanks. Um. No real reason, except the same reason he ignored me when I called, but he knows I'm not his charge now, so you'd think he'd want to actually see me especially since," Prue stopped herself short. "Sorry. Um. Tea or coffee or juice or whatever's easiest?"

Prue scratched her nose. "If you want. I mean. I've got two older brothers, so..." she trailed off. It wasn't like he wasn't easy on the eyes. "Oh! Hi Peter. I'm Prue." Well. Half the town it seemed like knew her by a different name. "Or Mel. Depending who you ask."

"I'm sure he's not avoiding you," Peter said gently. "It's just...a lot of stuff just happened...and it was really stressful for him. I'm sure he'll be glad to talk to you. And, if you think it'll help the situation, I'll go ahead and make some sandwiches while we wait." He grinned. "Help his mood." There were other ways to do that, but not in front of a stranger.

"Just give me a second," he said, not comfortable being half-naked in front of a girl he didn't know. And even less comfortable once he heard her name. "Oh!" he said from his room, as he pulled on a shirt. "You're Chris's sister? From...the other reality? It's nice to meet you, Mellie." He smiled shyly. "Sorry...Prue gets confusing and...uh...you just look more like a Mellie than a Mel. You don't mind, do you?"

"Food always puts him in a good mood." Not that she thought Chris needed to be put in a much better mood. "A lot of stuff?" Prue asked, concerned. This was her brother, after all. Regardless of if he remembered her.

"Yup. I'm the sister, but he's from the other reality. I'm from the standard timeline, if there is such a thing," she sighed. Chris was from the alternate timeline where she didn't exist. She wasn't fond of thinking that she didn't exist in other realities. "Yup. Chris's little sister. Nice to meet you, too, Peter. And no, Mellie's perfectly fine." She grinned at him. "Anything that's not Prudence is good. So how do you know Chris?" Obviously they were roommates, but she didn't know if they knew each other before or what.

"Oh, believe me, I know," Peter said with a laugh. Then he gave her a more serious expression. "You heard about Barbas being here, right? It was just rough on Chris. All the work to vanquish him...and other things...it's complicated." He wasn't about too tell her about how he shot himself in the head.

"Wow...it's really nice to meet you," he said, running a hand through his hair. "Sorry...I sort of see his as the regular reality and yours as the...uh...diet reality? Because I know him." He grinned. "Alright then, Mellie...anything but Prudence sounds good to me too." He started getting together sandwich materials when she asked, and he froze for a second. What should he say? What would Chris want him to say? Oh lord. "I...Chris and I...I'm his..." Oh fuck. Oh fucking fuck.

He'd stepped out just for a few moments, he'd been about to send Peter a message saying if he wanted him to make a run at the grocery store when he'd noticed his .. sister's message and had gotten caught up in that. She was such a pain. Already, she was such a pain. He wasn't quite sure if it was the sibling bond already forming or because who her parents were. Both his mom and dad were that stubbornly persistant, especially when it had to do with him avoiding them. The thing about his sis-Mel was that she had this combination of his dad's optimism and, apparently, his mother's impatience. He couldn't win either way.

He'd placed his PDA down for just as second, both exasperated and irritated by her. When he'd picked up back again, he'd noticed her comment. If it had been anyone else but a member of his family, he might have let it go (though Chris knew better than to leave matters up to chance). However, she was a member of his family. And worse, she was Piper Halliwell's daughter. If she said she was showing up. She was going to show up. Chris left whatever he was doing and orbed straight to his aparment, more to Peter.

He orbed in right during Peter's attempts an explanation. "You don't have to explain anything to her." Chris snapped. More at over Mel than at Peter. Though, couldn't have not been nice for once in his life and leave her at the door? "Your definition of warning? First of all? Sucks. Second of all, isn't funny ... or cute. And if you touch me, I'm orbing you into the lake."

"I'll just hold on tight so you have to come along," Prue said as she went right over to her brother and gave him a tight hug. She'd missed him. A lot, even if it hadn't been long since she had seen him. "I'm a baby sister. I'm supposed to be annoying. What isn't Peter explaining to me?"

Peter was startled by Chris's sudden appearance. "I need to put a bell on you," he said, but it was obviously said with fondness. He understood why Chris was frustrated, but he also knew how much Chris missed Wyatt and he didn't want him to push away his sister. He would have given anything to have Nathan here and ignoring him if it meant he was still alive.

"Calm down," he said. "First off, she is nice and orbing nice people into lakes is wrong...especially siblings. Secondly, as she said, she'll drag you with her. Thirdly, Prue will glare at you." He sighed. "Just be grateful you have family around, okay? She clearly adores you. How is that bad?"

Chris just quirked a brow at Peter's comment but he didn't respond. Which was just as good because whatever he would have said would have been cut off by her hugging him. He wasn't surprised she'd done it but he'd have been able to forestall it if Peter hadn't distracted him. Maybe.

As it was he stiffened slightly and glared at his boyfriend over his sist-Mel's head. The glaring was also because Peter was right. He hated when Peter used 'reasonable' on him. Chris thought himself to be perfectly reasonable, it was the rest of the world that had the damanged meter. "First off," Chris retaliated, "she's a pain. I can tell already. If she was nice she'd listen to the one thing I asked her. Secondly? I've been orbing people away longer than she's been-" He paused, about to say hugging him. And techinically that was true. She'd never hugged him before. Just the other Chris, her Chris. And he doubted her Chris would ever actually orb her into a lake. God, he was getting a headache ... not to mention being irritated with himself for actually feeling bad about wanting to orb her into a lake. "I can do it without her taking me. And thirdly," He paused again. Which Prue? They probably both would. "I can handle on Aunt Prue." He was being non-chalant. Right. Sure he could. "And she adores me because I'm downright adorable. No matter which version I am."

"Fine. Whatever. She can ... visit. Just let go of me." He said to Prue, not as annoyed about it as he wanted to be. "And it's none of your business. That's why he isn't explaining it to you."

"I don't know about adore," she said, with a smirk. But she did. This Chris or the one back home. It didn't matter to her. He was still her brother, regardless of dimension. "See? I'm nice. Even Peter says so." Prue scrunched her nose up at him before giving him a tight squeeze and letting go.

Hands on hips, she examined her brother. "You look young, Chris. But what's none of my business? You don't even know what I asked. Besides, how do you know I couldn't make you come along. I've got my own magic thank you very much." She raised an eyebrow at him, not entirely able to contain the hints of a smile. It was good to have Chris around. "Maybe the sandwiches would've been a good idea," Prue said to Peter. "Am I totally wrong in the assessment, or does my brother not get enough hugs?"
