Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Andrea and Lee
What:  Lee's making Andrea dinner!
When: Evening
Where: Lee's apartment.
Status: In progress

Lee had looked up Middle Eastern and Indian food, trying to see what exactly was so special about them.  He'd even so much as gone to some restaurants specializing in those foods and deciding what he liked best.  It was completely different from Colonial food.  He'd looked up recipes and gotten food to prepare.  It was certainly interesting, the town.  His life.  Dee had once said that he was a soldier who needed a war to fight.  He wasn't sure if it was still true, but he'd adjusted to this life with little issue.  Sure, he was still in a routine that he barely broke, but he was coping nonetheless.

Everyone else had seemed to be dealing with their worst fears and for some reason, the Gods or whatever had decided that Lee had been through enough angst.  So he was making dinner for his friend, still trying to contemplate how to make himself fall quite into the normal way of life once again.

Andrea had to admit that she was a bit surprised Lee had remembered the dinner thing, because she hadn't so much forgotten ... but had become terribly distracted. However, with the fear thing running around, she was both gateful and relieved that she had. And she was quite pleased with herself for managing to be-coincidentally-free while all of the 'wildfire' seemed to be increasing. Food in the company of a friend would be a good way to spend the time. Other than worrying.

And even more relieved that this thing hadn't hit her. Yet. She was saying yet because thus far she hadn't lucked out in being missed in the so-called "events" of this place. And while the universe might not have liked to fuck with her life as it did with some people, or at least as frequently, it never seemed to like to leave her alone. Like she'd be left behind or something. So she was just biding her time. Morbidly curious as to what else she might have to fear. You would think that after brutally loosing a family member and almost dying herself, she wouldn't have much left to fear. Even something small like spiders (which were just gross, not panic inducing, to her at least). Yet one could never know.

Glancing at her watch, she then knocked on Lee's door. They hadn't picked an exact set time but she didn't think that she was too early.

Lee took a quick look at the food before walking over to the door to answer it. The food was still simmering, but nearly done. And the kitchen smelled of the Indian food he was cooking. He opened the door, a smile on his face and his shirt un-tucked. Lee didn't look as completely put together as he normally had. There was something inherently wrong about cooking while you were wearing a suit or even a button down shirt. He'd worn the latter, however, just leaving it un-tucked. "Hello, Andrea," he smiled at his friend.

"Hey." She said with a bright and slightly curious smile. She could just smell it and it smelt delicious. She hadn't realized just how hungry how she was until the moment she'd entered the apartment. "That smells terrific." She murmured as she walked further into the standard issue apartment. "Thank you for making dinner." There had been conditions but that still didn't mean that she couldn't be polite. She could do polite.

"Good. I couldn't eat it all myself. Actually, since you said it is smells so good, you have no reason to complain if it doesn't taste as good," he smirked slightly. Lee wasn't a hundred percent sure of his cooking, but he knew this would taste at least better than almost anything they'd had on the Galactica. "You're welcome," he quirked an eyebrow.
