CHARACTERS: Marco Hernandez, Katherine Danvers, Paige Matthews, and Christine Chapel (AU)
LOCATION: Random karaoke bar! If anyone involved wants to name it, go for it, I’m terrible with names. Or just stick it somewhere you've already named, whatever.
TIME: After this
NOTES: Drinking and singing bad music, mostly. There may be a drinking contest at the end.

Marco couldn’t quite believe how successful he’d been with making friends since getting here. Female friends, especially. If any of his friends ever showed up, he’d be casually mentioning this that was for sure. He would definitely show Jake, they were as close to best friends as Marco had at the moment. And Rachel, if she showed up, just to stick his tongue out and say nyah to her and all her jokes about his lack of success with the women.

He’d put together a pretty decent outfit from the clothes provided for them. He wanted to buy his companions each at least one drink tonight, and had decided to work on making an outfit that looked passable rather than spend money on something. He’d been mostly successful, and so he entered the bar with a wallet that was just as full as it had been after meeting Katherine for coffee. He’d be able to buy each of his companions a drink or two, and still have enough left over to lose magnificently to Kat in a drinking contest at the end of the night.

He spent a little time preparing, mostly getting changed and brushing his teeth, and then he headed out. He made sure to make a list on his PDA of what Priss wanted for sandwiches. She’d given him no reason to treat her poorly, and Marco didn’t intend to do so without ample reason. He considered how long this little karaoke party was likely to last and set a little alarm to remind him. Once that was done, he headed out, grinning like the cat that ate the canary. This is going to be fantastic!

He made it to the bar in record time, helped in no small part by a spring in his step. He got a table, ordered a shot of vodka and a beer, and sat back in his seat, waiting for his companions on this little quest for a good night of karaoke.

Paige didn’t know what she’d been thinking. Karaoke. Karaoke was supposed to be fun and diverting. However, all Paige could think about was locking herself in the dormroom and focusing her attentions on finding a way out of this place. To say that she was nervous was a bit of an understatement. She and singing in front of people were very non-mixy. Sure, the third time that she’d gone on stage had gone off without a hitch, but look how that had really ended. With a two-timing cheat. Named whats-his-face (aka Nate). It led her to the conclusion that bad things only happened when she sang in public and for the good of all in Colligo it would be best to just avoid the entire situation.

Sighing, Paige orbed herself to the location. It was kind of strange to be in a place where she could freely use magic, to be who she was without worrying about being exposed and dissected. Or arrested or shot or .. there was a list. It was a very long list. But it was like the list didn’t even exist here. And she liked that, as much as she really wanted to go home, it was nice … just to be. To be what? Well. She wasn’t really sure yet. She, as always, was working on it. But that was part of the reason she’d made herself come here. To help herself find out. And because Paige Matthews didn’t back down from anything. If she could stare down the Source of all Evil and say, Ha!, twice (Well, the first time had been a bit of ‘Oh, my God, I’m going to die’) then she could definitely deal with a social situation with complete strangers.
Even if she really was just a friendless loser who last lunch date had been with the other professors at Magic School going over students preformances.

Taking in a deep breath, squaring her shoulders, Paige pushed the door open and walked inside.
