CHARACTERS: Marco Hernandez, Katherine Danvers, Paige Matthews, and Christine Chapel (AU)
LOCATION: Random karaoke bar! If anyone involved wants to name it, go for it, I’m terrible with names. Or just stick it somewhere you've already named, whatever.
TIME: After this
NOTES: Drinking and singing bad music, mostly. There may be a drinking contest at the end.
Marco couldn’t quite believe how successful he’d been with making friends since getting here. Female friends, especially. If any of his friends ever showed up, he’d be casually mentioning this that was for sure. He would definitely show Jake, they were as close to best friends as Marco had at the moment. And Rachel, if she showed up, just to stick his tongue out and say nyah to her and all her jokes about his lack of success with the women.
He’d put together a pretty decent outfit from the clothes provided for them. He wanted to buy his companions each at least one drink tonight, and had decided to work on making an outfit that looked passable rather than spend money on something. He’d been mostly successful, and so he entered the bar with a wallet that was just as full as it had been after meeting Katherine for coffee. He’d be able to buy each of his companions a drink or two, and still have enough left over to lose magnificently to Kat in a drinking contest at the end of the night.
He spent a little time preparing, mostly getting changed and brushing his teeth, and then he headed out. He made sure to make a list on his PDA of what Priss wanted for sandwiches. She’d given him no reason to treat her poorly, and Marco didn’t intend to do so without ample reason. He considered how long this little karaoke party was likely to last and set a little alarm to remind him. Once that was done, he headed out, grinning like the cat that ate the canary. This is going to be fantastic!
He made it to the bar in record time, helped in no small part by a spring in his step. He got a table, ordered a shot of vodka and a beer, and sat back in his seat, waiting for his companions on this little quest for a good night of karaoke.
