WHO: Willow Rosenberg and OPEN to anyone who opted to test the brooms for Quidditch
WHAT: Testing the brooms for Quidditch obviously.
WHEN: Mid-afternoon
WHERE: An open field.
RATING: TBD
STATUS: In Progress
NOTES: Um... better late than never? Yeah. I completely spaced on posting this. So sorry, everyone! But if you want your character to help test the brooms, by all means feel free to tag in!

The field had been warded against any locals. Willow had painstakingly covered every square inch both on foot and in the sky to ensure that no one who was from the city of Colligo could wander into the test run she was setting up for the brooms she'd constructed. She'd also made sure that there was plenty of room to allot for several people off the ground at once.

The brooms themselves looked as close to the real deal as she could manage. That part, really, had been easy. It was making them magically capable of flying with a non-magical person sitting on them that had been tricky. Either she'd used too much of her own magic and they had all but exploded from being overloaded, or she'd used too little and they hadn't wanted to even so much as hover off the ground. Finally, though, she thought she had them sorted out well enough.

Or at least well enough for others to try them out.

Truthfully, Willow was a bit nervous about the entire ordeal. Tapping into her own magic was tricky business and, should something go wrong and she start to feel like she was becoming too weak, she wasn't positive she could keep herself from accidentally absorbing someone else's magic to keep her going. Which would be fine, if she was relying on Buffy or Dawn or someone she knew. But the people from the Wizarding World? While they seemed nice enough, and were nice to her, she wasn't sure how they'd react to something like that. She didn't think it would be good, definitely.

Hopefully that wasn't going to happen, though. She had done a fair bit of meditating throughout the morning and certainly felt centered enough, and in-tune with everything around her, that she didn't think it would be an issue. There was plenty of magical current in the very ground beneath her feet and the very air she breathed. She just had to remember that.

And along with remembering that, she had to wait for others to show up. Which she was hoping would be soon because if she had to sit still and wait much longer, she thought she might very well lose her nerve, go back to her room, and let them sort this whole practice thing out themselves... if anyone even showed, that is. She still wasn't sure how many had read about her exploits as evil, veiny Willow. And how many would be willing to forgive or forget them without knowing the whole story.

Dawn had been excited about testing the brooms forever. She was into anything and everything magic-related, and while she'd been exposed to some pretty heavy stuff in that department, flying brooms was new to her. But getting to test them out with Willow and the Harry Potter people? It made for a very happy Dawn.

"Willow, hey!" she shouted as soon as the redheaded witch came into earshot. She waved an arm in the air, grinning wide, until she was standing just in front of her friend. "I'm the first one here? So we can't get started yet, right?" She glanced along the field, and then looked back towards Willow. "They better hurry, that's all I have to say."

Luna had been looking forward to the broom testing ever since she'd been invited to it. She figured Harry and Ginny and Ron would probably all be there as well, because they liked Quidditch, and she missed them. She didn't see them enough, considering they were all trapped in the same general vicinity. She herself didn't particularly like flying but she did so enjoy watching the game, so she figured it might be fun to actually try it for once. That, along with the prospect of seeing her friends, had lured her out of her bedroom for the day.

When she arrived, however, nobody she knew was there. Just the witch who had made the brooms and somebody she hadn't ever met before who looked quite excited. She wandered up to them absently, a sudden bought of shyness gripping her. She wasn't typically a shy person, not anymore, but there was a closeness between the two that she could sense. They were friends. She was intruding.

"Hello," She said, although she looked off at the clouds while she said it, not wanting to address either of the women directly.

Miss out on Quidditch? No bloody way. Miss out on muggles learning to fly brooms? Not bloody likely. When she'd arrived back to their apartment, Luna was already gone, must have left thinking Ginny was already there. She'd been picking up some food. A quick glance at her watch told her she was running a bit late. Cursing, she hurried to her room, changing into some comfortable flying clothes, and then grabbed her broom.

As soon as she was outside again, she mounted the broom, and kicked off from the ground, rocketing into the air and toward the area where she knew people were gathering to test brooms. Was she showing off by flying over? Maybe just a little. What? So sue her.

A red headed woman- Willow, she knew, and another girl. Then she spotted Luna, and smiled. A few stands of red hair that made it free of her braid blew around her face as she lowered herself toward the ground, before touching down and jumping off. She had her own broom, and so did Harry. Ginny could have made brooms, but she couldn't have made brooms for muggles. A task she would have said was impossible, until she heard about Willow.

She fell into place beside Luna, a grin on her face offered to her friend. She was excited, if only to see how this turned out. "Hullo." she said cheerfully to the other two. "I don't suppose you know how many you're expecting, then?"

Luna was quite glad when Ginny showed up. Now that she had a friend there, as well, it felt less like she was intruding on a private moment. She gave Ginny a sunny smile before addressing her. "I was hoping you might come," She said vaguely, looking up at her friend. "I've never been very good at flying, you know." It was true. Even though she'd often seen the Weasleys playing games of Quidditch when she was a child, having lived in close proximity to them, she'd never played herself. Mrs. Weasley had insisted that the siblings invite her and Sadie Fawcett and Cedric Diggory, and while the other children had on occasion played, Luna had always denied their invitations.

Luna clasped her hands together behind her back, swaying her hips slightly as she looked up at the sky again. She didn't feel it necessary to say anymore. She had found that Ginny was pretty good at figuring out what she meant without prompting or hints, and the other two would address her if they felt like and, and wouldn't if they didn't.
