WHO: Anyone who signed up (or wants to pretend they signed up and join in anyway)
WHAT: Laser tag!
WHEN: {Backdated} Saturday, September 12; noonish
WHERE: Laser tag place across from Colligo University
RATING: PG-13 (nothing too graphic/violent, folks!)
NOTES: Okay, this is the thread for the laser tag event. Please note that there are going to be three sub-threads within this post for people to reply to once they are 'on the battlefield'. One will be for Topher's team (Team Awesome), one will be for Claire's team (Team More Awesome), and one will be for when the teams meet-up in battle (Team Encounters). If you aren't sure which team your character is on, feel free to just drop them onto either team! If you want to reply to the set-up, just reply to this initial post. And by all means, feel free to break off into smaller threads between two or three characters within the sub-threads, if you'd like. All we ask if that no one 'shoots' another character without that player's permission. Also, in the name of fairness, we have decided that . And with that, everyone enjoy!
There was just the first hint of autumn in the air as Claire stepped out of the manager's office and onto the laser tag field. Her green-eyed gaze swept across the expanse of land, taking in the sight of the various trees, shrugs, and other devices meant to offer natural cover for those participating in the event. There was a definite air of excitement about her as she all but bounded off the playing area and back into the building to gather up supplies and wait for the teammates to arrive.
Personally, she was a little shocked that something so massive had been born from what had started as a fairly innocuous conversation over the message boards. She supposed people simply wanted to do something that was fun, and the fact that others were willing to organize the event made it all the more appealing. She just hoped that she'd done a decent enough job at organizing that people didn't wind up disappointed.
And that her team won, of course. Because she really did want to win.
With a grin, the blonde pulled her hair back into a ponytail and glanced at her watch. It was almost noon. People should be arriving soon. Bouncing a bit on her toes, she went over her mental checklist one last time then glanced toward the door as it swung open to reveal one of the first arrivals.
