Because it hurts. Because for the first time in my life I was actually with someone who understood me, and I was happy and now... now he's gone. And it's not like I'm going to see him again when I get home, either. So I'd rather just... forget then spend the rest of my life knowing that I finally found someone and it was taken away from me by some sadistic being that likes to toy with the lives of others.
