Pleased with himself for making her put off with him, he hid his smile in the glass and took a long drink. He decided he was done with the liquor and would stick to beer from here on out. He wasn't a bad apple on it, but he tended to get too sloshy and done on the stuff. Once upon a time, back when he was still a young man, he was jumped walking home and couldn't fight back properly because he was too messed up from all the alcohol. He had learned his lesson. It took twelve beers before he officially got too drunk and he only planned on drinking six to get a nice buzz going. That was all he needed.
“Kids can be bad little rascals, so sometimes I call them little demons,” he replied, smile turning mischievous. He had seen some pretty bad little ones, downright demonic in nature. He was surprised the town didn't put them in harms way but he supposed he saw the truth in the matter, kids didn't know right from wrong and that meant they were still innocent regardless of behavior. “You were turned on before? Tell me the details, darling. What got to you?”
He huffed. “I'll have you someday, my pretty. You just don't know when or how, but I'll figure out some way to charm myself into your pants and make you think you saw stars.” He paused there, giving her a swarmy smirk then went serious. “So, Viv. How are your really? You seemed glum just a bit ago, so I get that part but I'm wondering how life has been for you besides the town's bullshit ways.”
