Brunette, Alcoholic Name of Drink: Brunette Virgin or Dirty: Dirty Liqour(s) In Drink: Kahlúa, Bourbon
Full List of Ingredients: 1 oz. Kahlúa 1 oz. Bourbon 1 oz. fresh cream 1/2 tablespoon sugar How to Make it: Shake with ice cubes. Strain into chilled sour glass. Any Background Story to this Drink?: This drink is from the 1972 Trader Vic's Bartender's Guide, so it's geared towards bartenders. My dad was a bartender when he was younger and was, as I understand, really good at it. So, when I turned 18 we made an agreement that when I turned 21 he'd play bartender for me. This is one of the drinks he made for me. Anything You'd Like to Add: If you're a fan of Kahlúa (which I most certainly am) you'll love this. It's rather sweet, and I like sweet. Also, I don't really think brand matters a lot (you know, no more than it does normally in regards to drink quality). My dad used George Dickle Bourbon and Kahlúa, but a good Kahlúa substitute is Copa D'Oro (I'm not quite sure if that's the right spelling or not, but that's what it sounds like...).
