Frank was not at all pleased. Today had been trying in dozens of different ways and by the time he returned home, he was sorely tempted to cancel tonight's meeting. He wanted nothing more than to spend a quiet night at home to put plans together. That was not, however, a plausible option. The Order was still the Order, and he had to remind himself that it was not only his wife who was missing, but a leader and an influence that the group - as a group - needed. And so the group would continue, because that was the responsibility he had undertaken. That was what he had committed to. And so, he and Moody spent the early evening setting up the stables. He had already made a decision that they would not work on a new spell tonight. He reasoned that enough people still needed work on the previous week's, and that the focus required to move on would likely be absent. As people filed in, Frank hung slightly to the side and let Moody speak. The unfolding events called for preparation of a different kind and Frank trusted Moody's instruction more than his own when it came down to tracking. At least at teaching it. The stable was lit and there were several large pictures that had been used numerous times in auror training. There was very little preface, and Frank stayed very much out of the way. He, on purpose, did not want this to be a long meeting and there would not be very much actual practise it was an introduction to stealth and tracking and Moody went on about physical signs of someone going tramping through a forest, as well as the how to detect a magical signature. "All magic leaves some sort of trace," Moody said gruffly, flicking his wand at the wall of the building, where the wards, for a moment shivered and gave off the barest hint of light. "You can tell how long it's been since someone used magic there, how strong the magic was, even what kind of magic if it's recent enough." It was not an entirely active meeting and neither Frank nor Moody was interested in allowing this to go very far. Teach the simple tracking spells and then send them home. They were not particularly difficult. |
