Today, dark clouds have been rolling in across the ocean. Lightning flickers and leaps within the clouds, lighting them up forebodingly. As the storm grew nearer, the city grew eerily silent. The many faceless people of the city closed their shops up tight and seemed to vanish within the depths of their buildings. The closer the storm crept, the more they dissappeared. The few birds that live within the city limits slowly grew silent and vanished as well until finally, the entire city felt like a darkened ghost town, even the sun vanishing beneath the ominous clouds.
Before they break.
Torrents of cold rain pound the buildings of the city and anyone insane enough to venture out in it like daggers of ice. Lightning, brilliant enough to light the blackened sky light it was midday, streak between the clouds though strangely, never hit the ground. Thunder, loud and close enough to rattle the windows even on the hotel follow every flash almost instantly. Everywhere is rushing, bubbling water, pounding down gutters, overflowing storm drains. The clouds obscure the light enough that the whole city seems to have gone a dull, lifeless grey.
The Great Grey Storm has hit.
Do you think you need to build an ark?
(( Hey guys~ This is Part One of The End Of Pleasantville. It is going to storm like many of the residents have never seen for 24 hours. The rain is icey cold and falling hard and fast enough to really hurt. So venturing out into it will likely lead to stinging skin and being chilled right to the bone really fast. It's obviously not a natural rain. So... enjoy the violent storm! It will break sometime tomorrow afternoon. ♥ ))
