[ ETC ] Personal History: Roxas Bryce was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and raised by his grandmother, Amelia Bryce. He has no siblings that he knows of, since his mother left them when he was six months old. When he was 13 he suffered from a recurring nightmare where he was floating in space and suffocating. He’d regularly awake to find himself floating a foot above his bed, tangled in the bedding, before losing control and falling. At first his grandmother believed him to be possessed, but her search for an exorcist brought Roxas to the attention of Cid Kramer. After testing, Roxas was shown to be a latent psychokinetic, and moved to the Institute at the age of 14. Although he has never managed to consciously levitate himself since, Roxas has been trained successfully over the last two years to move small objects up to five pounds.
[ SAMPLES ] Role Play Sample: Roxas sighed as he gathered up the last of his laundry and looked about the room. It seemed so empty since his last roommate quit the Institute and moved out. He dumped the armload of clothes in his hamper and ran a finger under his nose in thought. Hopefully Cid wouldn’t insist he sweep as well; if the new guy, whoever he was, couldn’t handle a few dust bunnies under his bed, it was doubtful he’d long survive the craziness of Institute life.
Journal Sample: Nov. 10th, 2009. Brian’s stuff is all gone, shipped off back to his parent’s home, I guess. I’d like to say I’ll miss him, but it’s nice to have my own space again. Heck, I’ve been here two years, you’d think Cid would let me have my own room? How come more of the girls don’t have to double up? What's with that? Meh, I have a theory they’d probably kill each other if they did stick 'em all together.
Brian looked a little relieved to be leaving. I feel kinda bad for him that he couldn’t hack the pressure of constant psyche testing. I’ve been here a little longer than he was, so how come it hasn’t gotten to me? Maybe it’s because there isn’t anything better out there to go to?
