"One might say it found me." Which was accurate. Charlotte was grateful to her father for that arranged marriage that never was as it had given her a new life. While her family may have wielded great power in England, that power had seemingly dwindled over the past four centuries in the descendants that she was related to by blood, albeit distantly and she never completely acknowledged that family relation. Yet all the while, Charlotte had amassed her own power within her hive, gaining notoriety within the supernatural world, especially during the vampire hunts when she became queen of the Westminster Hive. She was most certainly not someone to be crossed, and her reputation certainly preceded her if one kept tabs on the supernatural world.
Looking Delia over, she gave a nod of understanding. "People tend to be either fascinated or frightened by what goes against what is considered normal. Though the term normal is, at its core, completely relative as it is different for everyone." Collecting items was certainly an intriguing hobby, but that was certainly not the worst hobby one could have. "Ah, a collector. Do you collect specific items, or simply whatever catches your fancy?" And then Charlotte smiled, one that gave a hint of teeth, a flash of her incisors that were sharp even without her fangs being extended. "The world is a sight to behold. Travel is certainly something everyone should indulge in. As much as I am fond of England, there is more in the world that is worth seeing."
Charlotte paused a moment, eyeing Delia a bit curiously for a moment. "What do you know of the supernatural world?" She was fairly certain Delia knew she wasn't exactly human, so perhaps they should stop dancing around that subject.
