Certainly men had quite a bit to answer for. Women could take the blame for things as well, but generally speaking, women at least accepted what was their doing. Men did not. There was a reason Charlotte had never married aside from the fact the man her father had betrothed her to ended up being a vampire. Charlotte was well aware that there were good men in the world, and some men had their uses, she even had some good men as part of her hive. But the stupidity of the many tended to overshadow the intelligence of the few.
"It is certainly refreshing to converse with one who share similar views to myself," Charlotte said, smiling to her companion. They had not yet exchanged names, but Charlotte already was enjoying this conversation. "It would certainly be a different world if women were in charge." Though Charlotte knew first-hand how things could be when women had power. After all, she was the queen of the Westminster Hive. Queens of all hives could attest to that sentiment. Really, being a vampire was rather liberating for women given it was a matriarchy as opposed to a patriarchy.
Charlotte wasn't completely certain what caught her attention more, the fact that the woman said she was made or the fact she was from the Court of the Air. Oh Charlotte knew what the Court of the Air was, she had gone to it a few times a long time ago. So this woman was a performer, that was something Charlotte instantly latched on to. "Oh, you are a performer then? That is simply marvelous. I do have quite a fondness for performers and the performing arts." The carnival wasn't exactly Charlotte's cup of tea, but she still held an appreciation for it. The performers still required great skill at what they did, and Charlotte could certainly appreciate that.
