"Well then, I'd rather call you Catherine Earnshaw, if we're thinking of it like this." Ben decided, yet again switching her names around but at least keeping to the same theme. Only hopefully unlike Cathy, Tiny would live to a decent age and not die just to spite people. Though to be honest, Ben found the idea of that pretty amusing. He might not have the greatest knowledge about books, but in some areas he knew a bob or two.
As for the matter of brotherly ways, well plenty of people remarked and felt this about him; he felt like the brother to the community of journals, but then again it simply was that he was a fair bit older than some. It wasn't something he particularly minded, and in fact quite enjoyed the liberties it allowed him.
"Most writing these days is pretentious, but as for killing the characters, it'd be living up to your new title, eh Cathy? Or throw them all off a bridge and play at being Eustacia Vye." Now he was swapping up novels left, right and center, hoping but not really registering whether she'd keep up with where his mind went. It didn't matter either way, because he was perusing through the menu for food now.
"Privates investigator, it's far better. And why would you see, after all the name is 'private'." And then he looked up at her from the menu and winked with a cheeky smirk.
