Entry tags:kara zor-el, warren peace

Who: Kara and Warren, again, because they're awesome like that
What: Hanging out, cute-ness from the new relationship stage
When: As it starts to get dark
Where: The roof of the Resident Building
Rating: TBD
Status: Incomplete

Pinned to the door, Kara had a left a simple note for Warren to find, because he was sure he was going to be coming around later. It read simply On the roof. -K It was possible to take the stairs to the roof, but Kara risked the flight. She moved faster than people could clearly see anyway. At least any normal people who didn't have a secret of their own to hide.

She had gone up before the sun had started to set. Or the simulated light. While the suns influence still made it in, it just wasn't the same. Kara was almost desperate for some sun rays. How much she would miss it never occurred to her until she arrived here. At least she had Warren, who was successfully managing to keep part of her distracted most of the time. The fact that she could think faster than most people didn't help her cause.

Laying on the roof, a thick blanket underneath her, she stared up at the dome that was trapping them here, a scowl on her face. If it was cool out, she didn't notice. She'd kicked off her red boots to the side of the blanket, leaving most of her legs bare, until her white skirt started covering her upper thighs. Her red t-shirt plane and simple, another outfit she'd stolen from stores before people had started looking into them.

Twirling one of her curls around her finger, she was lost in thought about what it would be like to just break out of here and head toward the sun. They should just let her build a trap door up there.

Warren had gotten back from finding the mainframe to the city a bit dishevelled. His hair and clothes were still a bit wet from when the sprinklers went off from the security measures. He didn't even waste time going back to his room to get cleaned up, because he wanted to see Kara. He walked down the second hall to the room that would have been his if he were on the seventh floor, only to find the note pinned to the door. He immediately wondered if she had left her insecurities of using her powers and had flown up there or used the stairs.

He quickly made his way up the stairs, making a stop in his own room to change his clothes. He changed into a dry pair of jeans and a layered long-sleeved red t-shirt and a short-sleeved black tee with a pheonix logo on the front. He pushed the sleeves of the red shirt up to his elbows to reveal the flame tattoos that were around his wrists, and with his hair still damp, headed again for the stairs.

When he opened the door to reveal the roof, he immediately saw her laying on the blanket with her boots over to the side. He tilted his head to the side and a slight smile stretched across his face. She was incredibly beautiful, and everytime he saw her, he was reminded of that fact.

He stood at the edge of the blanket, and looked down at her. "Figures you'd be looking up at this damn dome." He looked up and wished he could see the stars that would be starting to come out if they could be seen.

She heard the door open to the roof, and figured it was Warren, not bothering to look over. When he made it to the edge of her blanket, she moved her head ever so slightly, looking up at him with a smile. "Missing the sun, I guess." And being able to go into space to just look down at Earth. "It takes me less than three minutes to get to the moon. I think I miss the freedom as well." she could easily juts melt a hole, but what would that do to the entire dome?

Shaking her head, she reached up, offering a hand to him while she moved over. "Come join me." she offered, wanting him to come sit or lay down beside her. Kara hadn't really done much since he'd left earlier. She'd cleaned up her room, which took all of ten seconds, read a book she found in the store, which took all of a few minutes, and then had come up here. Pretending she could see the sun.

As far as she knew, he had just gone on a walk, or maybe he ended up actually doing something. Who knew? "How was your walk?" she asked, curiously. Having to leave because of fire she'd never quite get, it wasn't like he was going to hurt her with it, but everyone had their problems to work out. She'd try and help Warren as much as she could, or he would let her.

Kara flicked her blue eyes back toward the dome again just for a moment. If she adjusted her eye sight, she could, in fact, see the stars on the other side, but there was no point in staring at them if no one else could see them.

Warren smiled at her when she said she could make it to the moon in three minutes. He wanted to see that, or go along, but he doubted he could for the fact that he needed air.

He kicked off his boots and got down on his knees while on the blanket next to her. He saw her scoot over on the blanket to make room for her and he layed down next to her and slipped his arm under her head. He was much more comfortable with his control now he didn't hesitate even for a second. When he was down and laying beside her, he turned his head to look at her, he didn't look back up at the dome. He was only looking at her.

When she asked how his walk was, he wasn't sure if he should tell her about all the security measures that were in the building that housed the mainframe, especially the first one that kept him from lighting a flame or breathing. His face and body tensed up at the thought of what had almost happened. "Uhh... I found the mainframe to the city. What keeps everything working."

His control had gotten so much better when he entered the mainframe room that it was noticable. It had given him perspective on the place. He wanted to get home, but when he was faced with the possiblilty to figure a way to finally get home, he didn't want to find it because of her.He leaned over and kissed her cheed softly thinking about it.

"Oh?" she asked, readjusting herself so fit against him, head resting on his arm. "Did it look hard to crack?" she could crack into Homeland security, but maybe this computer was different. Kara wouldn't mind getting a look at how all things were run around here. She didn't want to screw anything up, but she wanted to get a better understanding. She knew there had to be security around the mainframe, but just how hard it was she didn't know. He didn't look like he was badly hurt, so how bad could it have been? There would have been some serious anger issues and possibly some fits of rage if something had of happened to him.

She smiled at the kiss, turning her head to the side to side to touch her lips to his. She brought one of her hands up, fingers running softly down the side of his face. Kara didn't like this place, but there was, at least, one person who was making it completely worth it.

If things kept going the way they were, she wasn't sure she'd be able to take leaving well. It was almost as if she had somewhere she belonged. Earth had never been home to her, she'd never fit in. At least this place didn't feel that way. Smiling, she pulled back, keeping her face a few inches away. She was interested in hearing how the discovery went, or if he found anything interesting. Any bits of information on the city they could find would be helpful.

Warren smiled when she turned her head at his kiss. He lifted the arm that was not under her head to tangle his fingers into her hair on the back of her head. When she pulled away, he frowned a bit, but knew that she wanted an answer to her question.

He took in a deep breath, not sure what all to tell her. "Wasn't anything we couldn't handle. A couple of walls that came down in our path, motion sensors and a few locked doors. Wasn't anything, really." he leaned in even closer to her face even though she hadn't pulled very far from him. He wanted to kiss her again, but he also knew she would probably want to know more about the mainframe, and he mentally kicked himself for telling her right away.

And he got passed all of that? Obviously she was worrying for nothing. "We?" she asked curiously, "Who was the lucky partner in crime?" when he leaned forward she grinned, either he was trying to distract or he just wanted to kiss her again. Either worked really, as long as he was okay, and the world wasn't about to end, she didn't mind not getting the answer.

Putting one hand on his chest, she leaned forward, closing the gap to kiss him again. She kept it very chase, light, almost teasing. It made things more fun that way, or for her, at least. Maybe Warren wouldn't quite agree. "Well, whatever you found. I'm glad you're fine. I'm not really sure it's possible to be angry at a computer if something had happened to you."
