I was waiting for the add to post in here, so hello!
This is Costică Dragavei, new to Chicago as of this year. He moved right before quarantine started, so it's still a pretty new place to him. hey everyone! i'm planning to bring in aris here and was hoping to drum up some connections for him ahead of time. he's been in/around chicago for the majority of his life but only in the last handful of years has been a stable, productive member of society. he's spent a lot of years homeless and battling addiction, but has been sober for 3 1/2 years and plans to keep the good times rolling. he works with paws, basically managing the intake of new animals and setting up the fostering and adoption of shelter animals. he's quiet and serious and people sometimes take that as being aloof or just disinterested, but aris is just wary of people and can have trouble trusting them, even after being shown he can. he has a very dry sense of humor that can be a little on the dark side, but it's a lot easier to get out of him than people expect. mostly, he's just trying to be a good guy despite not really believing in a general goodness. i'd love to work out just about anything! the only thing he doesn't really need is family since he doesn't have any or hookups/flings since that's not really his vibe. looking forward to bringing him in!

Hi everyone! I'll be bringing (hopefully!) June Gibson here in. She has some family lines but I am looking for a few extra things as well!
She is 19 - student at NYU (via online classes), looking for a part time job. Daughter of aryng. Music lover, book lover, dog lover. She's pretty independent as well. Also has a slight addiction to tattoos (she has 11 of them currently). Would love to work anything and everything out!

2) On again/Off again/ True love
When she was 16 she met him. The love of her life and they are on/off again all the time. They can't seem to stay away from one another and are very protective of one another as well. When she got accepted to NYU they had their biggest fight to date but still kept in touch and he would even go and visit her as often as possible.
I'd love if he was a bit older. He doesn't know what when she was days away from 17 she found out she was pregnant and had an abortion (he will find this out eventually). If interested I would love to discuss and work something out!

Hey all, trying again to establish some consistent lines for Allie here. I've plotted lines with a few people, but not much has come from it yet so I was putting out some feelers again. If we've previously talked about a line, I am still interested! Just let me know if you are and I can toss up a scene or text or something. If we haven't talked, I am open to anything new!
Quick run down: Allie is 34, single, has a 3 year old son named Miles. She's a former teen-star, singer, who has done her fair share of theater, tv, and movie work over the years since, but nothing as big as when she was in her 20s. I.E. famous enough to be recognized by a fan, but regular-person enough to still do all the usual people things. She's very down to earth and friendly, and is very eager to find her own life in Chicago, despite living here a few years now.
Prior/potentially present connections:
aryng is her older sister, which means she at least peripherally knew bitaker when they were all younger, and opens up potential to meet tbpozzi if there's interest.
I'd heard a while back that braxtondawson was a potential cousin line, but I had not been part of that convo, so I don't know if that worked out.
She briefly dated norussel (I think we're still doing that?)
She's a client of lucyo
She has a low key girl crush on/potential friendship with vchastain, still totally into that
She tried to force catalinaa into a friendship lol, not sure how that went

hi all, intending on bringing this odd fellow in, and wanted to see if he could fit any particular storyline needs. his bio is here but still very much under construction.
to summarize, silas had a bit of a hippy dippy upbringing, as he was raised by a couple of anti-establishment, artsy peace punks. this obviously had a huge impact on shaping his outlook on life, and he has very strong morals but also lives his life trying to be as kind and receptive to people as possible. he relocated to chicago a few months ago to begin an mfa in printmaking, and currently lives with his mother and her same-sex partner. he has a couple of step-siblings who could possibly live with them, or not, and this is a place where i'd love to work out lines. he's also working part-time as a server at an italian joint, just to bring in a little money.
in terms of personality, he's extroverted, highly creative and sensitive. he does have a milder form of tourette syndrome and ocd, but he's learned to ignore people's reactions to his tics and doesn't let it affect his interpersonal skills. he loves art and he's into music, particularly alternative, punk, metal and grunge as that's what he was raised on, and he's definitely not someone who keeps up with pop culture, despite his age.

Hello Illville, this is Camden and he and I are looking for a relaxed and non-intimidating place to move in and this place looked kind of neat.
Cam is from Phoenix, a graduate of the International Culinary Center in NYC, and would presumably work as a chef at a clean eating or farm-to-table place around town. Besides that, he's a little different and out there, a little weird maybe, but a great person and everyone he comes in contact with seems to like him. His bio is right here. Would any of you want him around, and want to plot with him?

I really need to get Noah out there more and while I know he’s made a lot of ‘connections’ or potential connections, I think my failed brain needs a refresher so we can start actually developing some of these. #letswrite
A brief summary about Noah...
Noah is a former Mormon from Utah. He grew up in Provo, but has lived in Chicago since he was 18 (way back in the day of 1996). He has not been a member of that church (or any) for years now. It was only back in late April 2020 at 42 years old did he finally “come out of the closet” as a homosexual. This came after years of pretending to be a straight man while building himself a bit of ladies’ man reputation with those who knew him. Unfortunately, his coming out did cause him to be disowned by his rather religious biological family. He works as a videographer and one of his gigs is working on his best friend Brooks’ (~bitaker) cooking YouTube show. In his spare time he likes to play his guitar, sing karaoke, drink beer, and just hang with friends. You can read more about him right here.
I’m definitely open to plotting out a pre-established connection or just tossing him up against anyone to build up something. Friends, clients, etc.

SO I'm back with Balto, he's more or less the same has the first time around there have been a few slight changes: different birthdate not that it's important really. And fewer kids that he knows about, though as always there is the option for others to pop up out of the woodwork cuz the man did get around.
The biggest change is he moved out to LA at the end of 2010 after his last OD. He wanted a change of scenery while he recovered and it helped to clear his head. He's been back since 2015 and still has a tattoo shop called ArchAngel Ink Studio so anyone who wants to work there, or have had some ink from him in the past just let me know.

Hey, everyone! This is hayyan's player and I'm already working on a second. This is Dr. Noah Belmote with a Jack Pearson Milo Ventimiglia face. He an adjunct at Rush University Medical Center as a Neurologist and Primary Care Physician. He used to be on the fast track to be the lead resident in the hospital, but his wife left him because he was never around and made promises to his daughter that he could never keep with this career. She got full custody of the daughter and he's been spiraling since, but in his case, a spiral is never going home. He is very good with patients and has an excellent bedside manner. So good, in fact, that one of his patients has fallen for him. She's going to be in play as well, I've been talking to the player who posted the ad on ~pbads and we're ironing out details. Mostly it boils down to him caring way too much and always being there for his patients and she has MS and thinks it's just for her. She's going to be Rachel McAdams. The reason why he's so steadfast about helping his patients is that he watched his mother slowly go downhill from MS before she died a few days before his daughter was born, which was horrible for him. Actually, his life is pretty horrible, but he deals by working and not sleeping. Lots of coffee for this fella.
So yeah. I know we have other doctors as characters, so would anyone like to know him? Be his coworker? Be another patient? He doesn't really have friends, but I'm open to maybe one or two who are always concerned about him. Gimme connections!

I'm stutter-stepping here, but is I hope it's okay for me to post though I'm not in the game yet. I would like to bring Hayyan, here, and I have submitted his application. However, I have only spoken to Felix's player so far about the possibility of a connection. I was wondering if there would be others. I also think maybe I should add a personality description to his application to go along with his biography? Hayyan is a sweet, friendly, and at times, obnoxious man. He's a sculpting and moving art instructor at the Art Institute of Chicago. He gave up on being a surgeon to pursue art. He's also bisexual and has had repeated falling outs with his family. Nevertheless, he's still a practicing Muslim and his parents are first-generation immigrants though Hayyan and his sisters were born in the states. So, yeah. Does anyone want to chat connections? He needs exes and hopefuls and friends and coworkers. He's my character from another game and I kept a lot of the backstory to make it easier on myself. This is my first time on IJ for roleplay in about 8 years.

hi there! sorry to show up twice in a row, but i wanted to introduce rafiq. he's ~mubar's twin brother, moved back to the area about a year ago from california, and is an anesthesiologist (haven't decided where yet). i saw on the taken list that there are a few medical professionals in here, so if any of you guys wanted to work out some lines for co-workers i'd really love that! outside of co-workers, i could use a best friend for him that isn't his brother, friends that he played in rec leagues with (soccer, flag football, etc), ex's, gym buddies, drinking buddies, and anything else you want to throw at me. i'm open to all sorts of connections for him no matter how messy or platonic they are. looking forward to interacting with everyone!

So I've been peeking at this comm for a bit and a comment pushed me to check and see if Felix (Matthias Schoenaerts pb) here would be wanted. He's got some flexibility to his history, so I'm happy to have him fill some lines, but his personality pretty much stands. He's loud, warm, stubborn, and gregarious. The man has never met a stranger. If you add in some wine or a solid scotch he can quickly become obnoxious. He works as an art historian with a fondness for Baroque architecture. Felix considers himself "quietly queer" thanks to his family's less than stellar reaction to him coming out years ago. I haven't decided if he's a Chicago native or a transplant yet, but he most definitely has traveled quite extensively. Thanks!

so, um, this is madelaine, though goes by laine or lainey, never mads. she's a transplant from florida who moved up about 6 years ago with her ex and they maybe were together a year before they broke up when she caught him cheating. i've got her job as a waitress, but don't really have a place where she's waitressing. she's got one friend that i know of but could use friends, roommates, people she's fooled around with. someone that tattoos her because she's addicted. literally, anything and everything for this girl. i want and need it.

Hello there! I heard y'all might be interested in a chef with Marwan Kenzari's face and figured I'd see if he'd be wanted around here. His name is Rika Augé but he goes by Richie. He's a French transplant and is new to Chicago but not the States. He's very much of the "do no harm but take no shit" mindset, passionate, curious, and always looking for a foodie or two to test out recipes on.
