Who: Eric and Issac. What: Meeting, touching, translating. Where: Eric's trailer. When: November 11th, midday. Warnings: TBD.
Eric had stayed in the lagoon too long, until morning, swimming around even after the crowds had left, not wanting to break out into the heat. That was when he had felt it, a tremor in the water that came from something new appearing, and he investigated the lagoon in great detail. Eventually, he found it, nestled between the rocks, the creepiest doll he'd ever seen. He'd circled it, and then had surfaced to sit on the edge of the lagoon, tapping on his phone to see if others had experienced the same thing. Vaughn had acted as a guinea pig and Eric had felt safe diving back down to tug the doll up from between two rocks, hurtling up toward the surface as fast as he could and throwing it as hard as he could. He watched it smash and felt smug and a bit safer, although there was still a sense of foreboding surrounding the place where it had been.
Eventually, he decided to brave the heat, pulling on his jeans and popping on the sunglasses that had been dropped into the lagoon by someone who had leaned too far over the edge, and walked quickly back to his trailer. There was another doll outside but he ignored it, coming into the cool air of his home and tapping on his phone again for a bit before slipping off his jeans and sliding down into his tank to nod off. Eventually, though, the sound of footsteps coming toward his trailer sounded through the dirt of the ground and into his tank, waking him, and he surfaced from under the bed, wiping his feet on the new rug that had been given to him and making sure the shot glass on the counter was looking particularly interesting.
Then, he pulled on his jeans, pushing back damp, still slightly glowing hair from his face and opened his door before the knock came, squinting as the sunlight hit his eyes and made them hurt. He would never get used to that, he thought, but, even though he couldn't really see, he gave his visitor a big smile. "Hi! Come in, come in." He said, ushering Issac inside. "Is it too cold for you? I can change it."
