Violeta took in a glimpse of Dante's borderline shyness, fixing him with a smiling gaze. They could always come back to what exactly it was that made her intolerable for fun another time, when the hourglass was not over half way full at the bottom and he was not sharing such as an endearing piece of himself that would inevitably crumble away with the last grain of sand. She ventured closer to the building's ledge, silent with awe at the undeniable beauty spread across the horizon. A light sheet of crystal dust hung over the city, creating a soft, lustrous glow like a view pulled out of a dream.
There were things that she asked of him, things she had come--though not without some degree of sadness and frustration--to accept, that were simply unattainable. But if this was all he had to give, a look inside his safe haven, then it was a gift she graciously accepted. She caught the look on his face and furrowed her brows. "No, no," she shook her head earnestly before turning back to the city, her voice laced with sincere admiration. "It's amazing, Dante." Pulling him to the ledge with her she kissed his cheek and drew back to peer up with him, loving him a little more. "Thank you."
