"Well maybe you did," he said jokingly, pleased at the laugh he had elicited from her. The sudden pitch in her voice caused him to stop and turn to her though, watching the spectacle of her jerking leg movement with no small amount of bemusement. Slowly, realization dawned, but he kept his face neutral, nodding slowly as she excused herself behind the trailer. Rather than resume his own hopeless search, he waited a few moments before he circled around the trailer, wordlessly watching the eager exchange between Roger and Fox.
The tiny green fox seemed reluctant to leave its newest hiding spot, her insistent hissing only prompting him to run further up into the jumpsuit until two very distinguishable, long ears and the top of a glittering gemstone popped from the neck. Gray watched this with poorly concealed amusement.
"Oh, yea. I think I found him." He had to chuckle, gesturing to the twitching ears and madly chittering ears jutting from beneath her chin. "Shoulda known you two were in cahoots!" He really loved the word cahoots.
