Lucas grinned at him and Eric grinned back, his own elongated fangs bloody themselves. Lucas broke off the ribs and Eric scooped them up to suck the marrow from the bones, not wanting to let anything go to waste and, besides, it tasted good. With her cheek gone, Eric pierced her eyeballs with his elongated fingernails and popped one into his mouth before offering one to Lucas, speared on his nail.
"I prefer fish." He told Lucas honestly. "Squid is favourite. Have to be in the right mood for human. Was in mood today." He was far away from his coast and, yes, he had found Finnerty, his cousin, but home felt so far away. With a growl in the back of his throat, he chomped down into the girl's neck, twisting his head to bring muscle snapping out.
He slurped it down with a dark smirk. "Humans, they like shiny things. Not a siren, cannot sing them in. Have to work with what I have."
