No fear would come from Zane, his cool body temperature and lack of a heartbeat would not exactly make him a prime target for even the surliest snake. That, and poisons would not kill a vampire as their bodies were essentially dead. At worst it would be uncomfortable for the time it took for the blood he drank to pass through his system and at best they would tear holes into his flesh. Either way, Zane would not fear them for they did what was natural to them.
