Elia purred when he placed her hands behind her back, leaning in a little further for just a moment before finding herself turned back toward the door, Kennet's hand still holding them in place. She smiled at his comment, an indulgent smile that she followed with a dark, indulgent laugh.
"I love the shadows, and they love me just as well," she offered back in a sing-song voice, rich and dark. "They would take me and hold me, and return me back when I was well again. You can't be rid of me so easily, Kennet my love."
The blue flicker of his eyes proved distracting, drawing her attention, her words trailing off. The Djinn was, as always, sort of mesmerizing to her. Even moreso at the moment, when whatever inner darkness he was embracing called to her own. Her distraction ended with his kiss, of course, Elia's lips melding familiarly to his, searing and singed and healing all at once by the cool flickers of darkness that passed over them.
