She did not back away from him as he approached, resembling so much a dangerous adder in the grass charging upon its prey. Her head tilted back to regard him when he loomed above her; she would not mourn for the human who burned at their feet, but the callousness of the Djinn's actions caused the barest traces of uncertainty to flicker within the glowing lilac of her eyes as they met his.
"Knowledge you gave me," she reminded him gently, ignoring his threatening taunts and unperturbed by the intensity of his heat. It flowed through her in this form. But impervious as she was to those things, she only barely repressed a shudder when he leaned down to whisper so in her ear. Her eyes widened and now she did step back if only to look back up into his face, incredulity twisting her delicate features. "...Is that what you think, Kennet? That I would do such a thing?"
A pang of concern accompanied these words; if that was, in fact, what he thought, then she could only imagine the things he was willing to do to her. But indignancy rose within her as well, insult at the accusation causing the wind to suddenly whip dead, fallen leaves from the ground around their feet and send them into a frenzied dance.
