Rose fought when he pulled her in again, but it was like trying to shove a boulder uphill - she had neither the strength nor the leverage to do anything significant, and her ability to change shape was hampered by the limited room in the doorframe. She'd have punched him, but she didn't want the bruise she'd cause herself and he was letting her go anyway, stepping back to have the last word.
"Expect to be disappointed. We're done here," she said coldly, ignoring his attempt at courtesy as she slammed the clinic door closed between them and stalked off to her office in the back.
