"The Hunt is over in less than twenty-four hours," Rose pointed out. She couldn't close the door on him; she didn't fancy broken hands, even if they'd heal relatively quickly. "That's hardly worth the pain." If simply asking him to leave wasn't going to work, and snark wasn't doing the job either, she'd consider bargaining. "How about I see you never?"
If only he'd placed his hands on the outside of the door frame, she could have the door solidly between them. Not that she thought he wouldn't just follow her in, but the thought of locking the door was a tempting thought she briefly entertained.
