Without asking for details, Marlow simply nodded. For her sanity's sake, it was likely for the best that she didn't ask anymore questions about it, and to fill in the blanks with something she could wrap her head around. Like witches dancing around the cauldron, singing double, double toil and trouble! and making mystical fire tall enough to kiss the moon.
"Thank you," she said, more than grateful for the woman's offer. There was no way she could handle another second outside, she didn't have the energy. Where else could she even go? Marlow was safe with Ariadna. The woman was probably the first person she'd come to trust since she'd joined the circus. After awhile, a small smile worked its away across her tired face.
"Forewarning, I might ask you to show me how to make the perfect chocolate chip cookie."
