Her fingers stayed tight around his arm and only tightened when she heard the howl. She knew she couldn't hold on to him, knew that he may, no, would need to fight those that had been chasing them. The fear in her grew and her eyes seemed to close tighter when she felt him pull away from her. His voice ringing her head with that one command. She knew that he didn't normally order her unless it was necessary and she knew that she would be lying if she said now was not one of those times. Since in many ways she knew that it was. "You don't need to tell me twice." Her tone had a small bit of sarcasm in it, but that sarcasm was only there to mask the fear that she knew she couldn't hide from him.
It was silent for only a few seconds before her ears were filled with the sounds of what she could only guess as bodies hitting the walls as well as other bodies. However, it was the sound of a painful scream followed by a ferocious growl that caused her hands to cover her ears. Her mind raced with what could be happening and as she tried to keep them to herself, she felt a cold shiver run up her spine. She knew that having her ears covered was suppose to in some way prevent her from becoming more afraid, yet it seemed to almost be doing the complete opposite. Which only seemed to cause her heart to race more than it already had been racing.
Blair's hands quickly left the sides of her face when she felt arms around her, she was ready to hit something and she had been close to doing so, but hearing Trent's voice in her mind again had made her stop. Instead, she let the man pick her up while her hands went to touch his chest briefly before her arms wrapped around his neck. A part of her was curious about what the aftermath looked like, while another part of her told herself to listen to the vampire's words. It was the part of her that told her to listen that she had ended up listening to, but she knew that blood had been spilled. And the only reason she knew such a thing was because she had felt the wetness of it on him when she had touched his chest mere moments ago.
