Divination Games | 8pm | Mona & Kit
The second bout of silence lasted longer than the first, stretching out between them like an abyss. Kit never took his eyes off Mona as she thought through the bombshell he had just dropped, every slight flicker of emotion crossing her face caught by his gaze. Just when it seemed that no more would be said between them, Mona reached forwards.
When she took his hands in her own, warmth spreading to his fingers, Kit let go of the needless breath that he hadn't realised he had been holding. "Friend," he said lightly, more than happy with the label. Still, he couldn't help but tack on a teasing comment: "Not what the apple peel said, but I'm happy enough with that." Then, with a grin, he brought both of Mona's hands up and kissed the back of both before lowering them, their fingers still entwined as he lightly swung them side to side.
